“Yep, this bitch. I told you I’m not the problem, it’s your nigga. I don’t want him, he wants me.”
“Bitch don’t lie on me,” Heavy stated.
“Nigga, tell your wife the truth. Tell her how you’re tired of fucking her because she won’t let you put it in her ass. Tell her so you can stop calling my phone with all that crying shit.”
His wife’s face changed. She went from being pissed off with me too embarrassed from the shit I was telling her.
“You telling this hoe our business?”
“Baby, this hoe lying.”
“I’m lying? How do I know about her little female problem after giving birth to your kids? She couldn’t fuck you for a good little minute because her pussy was fucked up, right? She had a bacterial problem and all.” I stated. “Bitch who you think been keeping him satisfied? You should thank me hoe.”
“Pinkie get the fuck out of my house before I beat the fuck out of you,” Heavy threatened. Shit he wasn’t hurting my feelings, I didn’t want to be here anyway. He forced me. Heavy had some dirt on me that could get my club shut down so I kept fucking with him so he wouldn’t run his mouth.
“You need to get your ass out too,” his wife said. “Go with that hoe and I’ll see your ass in court. Oh, and you too bitch.”
34. SUMMER
“Turn that shit down,” Law yelled in the bathroom.
I was blasting Beyoncé because they were letting me out of the room today. Law was going to walk with me downstairs.
“Don’t hate on me. You ain’t been tied down to a damn bed for weeks. Let me be great.”
I rubbed the coconut oil over my enlarged belly. Everything I put on was too small. My stomach was the biggest thing on my body. I went from wearing a medium shirt to wearing a men’s large shirt. My stomach would still hang from the bottom of it, depending on how it was made. The days of dressing cute were now filled with leggings, no panties and t-shirts. This baby had consumed my whole being and I was tired.
Law entered the bathroom and helped me get dressed. I was concerned that I didn’t look good to him anymore but he told me at least twice a day that I was beautiful. He didn’t know how good that made me feel. My face was huge and my nose had spread all the way across my damn face.
“You look good, but I want you to stop putting all that damn oil on your stomach. Didn’t that woman tell you it’s hard for them to hear the heartbeat because of it.”
“I’m trying to keep these stretch marks to a minimum.”
“You earned them stripes baby. Let that be a reminder of what we had to go through to bring our daughter into the world. If you stay your ass off Instagram looking at all them famous muthafuckas with perfect bodies, you’ll be able to live better.”
He placed a kiss on my belly before helping me slip my shoes on. We both grabbed our phones and left out of the room. Lately, the skies had been cloudy but today, the sun was out and it was a little warm. It took my eyes a minute to adjust to the outside. Law found us a little private spot to sit and enjoy the outside.
“You ready to become a mom and wife?”
“I’m definitely ready to be a mom, but the wife thing is up in the air.”
“Come on, we been doing great. What changed your mind.”
I don’t trust you fully. I think I told you yes, I’ll marry you, because it felt like the right thing to do. Now I feel like we still need some time to get it together. I don’t think this baby will change anything between us.”
“This baby changes a lot. I’m trying to dedicate my life to you and her but you tripping on some old shit.”
“Law, if I cheated on you, we both know you wouldn’t be here right now. You left the last time.”
“That shit do something to a nigga. Women built for that shit.”
“See that mentality right there is why you not ready. Just because women are stronger don’t mean we want our man cheating on us.”
My attention went to the car that Trey got out of. He wasn’t alone; he was with a beautiful, dark-skinned chick. When he came into my room a few weeks ago, he apologized and all was forgiven. All the catching up we did; he didn’t mention a woman. I was happy for him; he needed someone that was mature to deal with his childish ways.
Law nodded his head at him, and the chick smiled at me like she knew who I was. Trey didn’t say anything to me because I told him that Law didn’t know about us and I wanted to keep it that way. There was no need to bring up old shit and I knew I would never be with Trey. I was too busy trying to fix this shit with Law for the sake of our daughter.
“You know, buddy?” Law asked.
