“Yep. I just...” how could Sloane tell him she didn’t want this? Her body was aching to be filled by him, but she needed so much more than a pity fuck. She wanted all of Dallin, but would he give that to her?
He eased back and gently stroked her with his fingers, not pressuring Sloane and giving her time to figure out her muddled thoughts.
She pressed a hand against his bare chest. “Let’s wait.”
Dallin looked up at her, longing in his face as he moved back an inch. His expression altered as his gaze ran over her. “Of course. You can’t want this. Not really.”
“I do want you. And I don’t mean to be a tease, but I want more than this. I want the karma sutra version of love and sex. Having experienced what your hands can do, I know the sex will be mind blowing, but it’s not just a fuck I want. I thought it would be enough, but I was wrong.”
His expression softened. “You want me to be the one to cherish you?”
Sloane blinked away tears. “I always have done. And I’ve always known you’d do an amazing job. The only thing holding you back is doubt.”
He tapped the side of his head. “It’s more than that.”
“When will you realize that we all have flaws?”
Dallin’s eyes narrowed, and his hand went to her forehead. “You’ve gone pale. Are you feeling unwell?”
“No! I feel... actually, I don’t feel so amazing.” Until that moment, Sloane had felt incredible, riding on a post orgasm high. But as she paid attention to what the rest of her body was doing, it flashed warning signals. She was unpleasantly sweaty, and her stomach churned.
Dallin’s hand cupped her face. “You’re too hot.”
“I just came about a hundred times. That’ll get a girl flushed.”
“No, you’re over-heating. It’s the Siblet poison. It’s getting to you.”
“I just need some water, and I’ll be fine.” She rubbed her stomach. “And maybe more pain relief.”
“I’ll get that for you. Don’t move.” Dallin left the room and was back in less than a minute, pushing a fever drop in her hand, and insisting she drank down a whole flask of water.
Sloane didn’t feel any better. “I need to move. Maybe my stomach will stop cramping if I shift position.”
Dallin helped her to her feet, only an inch from her side, his arm around her waist as she walked unsteadily around the room. Nope, that didn’t help at all.
“Maybe moving was a bad idea.” A pain punched through Sloane’s gut. She groaned and collapsed into Dallin’s arms.
