“He’s not a danger. Not so long as you know what to look out for. But the animal experiments could remind him of what he went through.” Ash’s mouth twisted to the side. Should he risk this moment by probing any further? “Maybe it’s the same for you?”

“For me? What are you talking about?”

“You went through hard times when you were captured by the Siblet.”

Every muscle in Georgia’s body tightened against him.

“Relax. I’m not prying. But this mission could kick up bad memories, and I’m here if you need to deal with them.”

“That was different. Now, stop talking, and let’s go for round two.” Georgia straddled him and stroked a hand down his chest.

“I’m just saying—”

She pressed a finger to his lips. “I’m fine. I’ll see Angel if I have any problems, and she can medicate them away or send me to talking therapy. But as far as I can see, I only have one problem right now, and he’s underneath me, refusing to give me any pleasure.”

Ash grew hard as she ground against him. It felt like he’d won a tiny battle. Finally, maybe, she wanted to be a proper team, not fuck buddies or colleagues, but she had to open up.

Georgia had been screwed over by her time as a Siblet prisoner, and that left scars. And when they rose to the surface, he’d make damn sure he was around to support her. Even if she fought and kicked all the way.

This relationship wasn’t just about the amazing sex and the excitement he felt when he was with her. Even though she didn’t fit in his plans, he wanted all of Georgia, even the messed up parts.

Ash groaned softly as she reached down and stroked his shaft.

There was one problem with his plan. He knew all about loss, and the thought of losing Georgia just about killed him.

All thoughts of how they’d make it work were shoved away as she expertly worked him with a firm hand before sinking onto his shaft.
