They headed into the living room just as the door sprang open.

“I knew we’d catch them making out.” Eden sashayed in with Blaze, her dark eyes landing on Daisy.

“We weren’t making out.”

“You so were.” Wren laughed as she walked in with Striker beside her. “Your face is flushed, and your hair’s a mess.”

Daisy smoothed a hand over her hair. “I’m growing it out. It always looks like this.”

“There’s no law to say I can’t take my woman whenever I like.” Rexx circled Daisy’s waist with an arm.

“Hold on, buddy. Don’t go all caveman on us. Daisy’s Law says she chooses when you both get naked.” Eden poked him in the chest. “She’s the boss.”

“And I’m happy for it.” He kissed Daisy’s head, and she leaned against him.

“Get a room.” Blaze set down beers and pizza boxes.

“We have a room. You just invaded it,” Rexx said.

“You’ve missed two pizza nights while you were fleeing for your lives. So we brought it to you,” Striker said.

“It’s the middle of the day,” Rexx said.

“Which is also called lunchtime.” Wren flipped open the delicious smelling boxes. “I’ve got triple meat, triple cheese, and triple veggies - Eden that’s yours. Grab it and growl, guys.”

“And beers all around.” Blaze handed around the drinks as they all grabbed pizza and settled on the couch and the floor as if they owned the place. “We need to celebrate you being back on the team.”

“And we thought we’d never get to see Daisy again. Rexx is being all alpha possessive and keeping her to himself,” Eden said.

Rexx growled as he ate a slice of pizza. “I’m not.”

Daisy sat on the couch, her legs either side of his head as he sat on the floor in front of her.

She patted his shoulder. “You are. And I’m not objecting, but I have been missing my girls.”

“Told you. Too possessive,” Eden said. “You won’t catch a guy pinning me down like that.”

“There’s fun to be had when you’re pinned down.” Daisy laughed, and Wren joined her as they clinked glasses.

Rexx didn’t miss the way Blaze watched Eden as she joked with their friends. He had it bad for that vixen, but every time he made a move, she shoved him away with a wink and a sway of her hips. She’d always been the free spirit of the group.

He looked up at Daisy. He’d thought it impossible that they’d ever be together, and it had happened. If Blaze could get his shit sorted, he’d figure out what made Eden tick.

Daisy’s breath tickled his ear. “You happy everyone’s here?”

“Yeah. This is good.” His friends were here. His woman was here. Everything was great.

He took hold of Daisy’s hand and kissed the soft skin on the inside of her wrist. Love and joy flooded through him as she squashed him between her legs, one arm wrapping around his shoulders as she held him. He’d spend the rest of his life ensuring his warrior female was cherished, adored, and happy. Just like he was.

Chapter 19

Blaze

One week later

“You’ll be the one explaining our unauthorized pit stop to Cleo when she figures out what’s going on,” Blaze said over the shared comm link with Rexx, Daisy, and Eden.

“She won’t find out,” Rexx said. “And if she does, she’ll understand.”
