Her eyebrows shot up. “Is that a yes?”
He lifted the chocolate and pressed it gently against her soft lips until she opened her mouth, and he popped it inside.
Avel wrapped a hand around Holly’s waist and yanked her to him. “That’s a yes. Let’s seal this deal.” His lips covered hers, and their tongues met in a hungry clash of sweetness and temptation.
He wasn’t sure what he was getting himself into, but right now, he didn’t care. All Avel wanted was to forget everything and lose himself in the luscious temptation of this gorgeous human.
Chapter 3
Sweet mother of muffins! What a kiss. Holly didn’t know what was sexier, the fact this gorgeous guy was so into her chocolate or the way he made her knees shake with his incredible kisses.
She should fight him off. They barely knew each other, but boy did he know how to kiss. Holly had heard rumors about how talented Dackins were with their tongues. If his kissing was anything to go by, she could only imagine what else he could do with that tongue of his.
Her insides heated as his hands traveled down her back and cupped her butt.
The kiss tasted like her Peruvian mocha chocolate, and she feasted on his mouth and buried her hands into his hair to drink in more of him. She felt the contrast of silky feathers and rough dreadlocks against her palms as she clung to him.
What a way to end the night. Her loan was approved, her business was about to begin, and now some hotter than her favorite chili alien had his hands on her butt and a huge erection digging into her stomach.
Avel broke apart from their kiss and smiled at her. “How about we go somewhere more private?”
“What have you got in mind?” Holly wasn’t a one-night stand woman. She didn’t mind going to second base with a guy she wasn’t exclusive with, but she never slept around and wasn’t interested in casual encounters.
“I’ve got just the thing in my room. It will be the perfect complement for your chocolate.” He grinned at her.
Nerves fluttered in Holly’s stomach. She didn’t know Avel. She got the sense he was a dangerous guy. Raw, hot power seeped from those muscles.
But they were having a great time, and he made her feel amazing and so sexy. She wasn’t sure she’d ever felt this sexy, certainly not with her ex-boyfriend. In fact, she’d felt the opposite whenever they were together. Eric had done his best to destroy her confidence and make her feel ugly.
Holly looked around the bar. There were a lot of people here. They’d see her leave with Avel. He wouldn’t take the risk if he had bad intentions toward her. “Okay, just for half an hour.”
“Whatever you say, sugar.” Avel slipped the box of chocolates off the bar.
Olid walked over and nodded at Holly. “Is everything good?” His gaze cut to Avel. “This guy isn’t bothering you, is he?”
Avel grunted. “Holly can handle herself.”
She smiled, appreciating Olid’s concern. “Thanks for the drink. We’re fine.”
“Any time.” Olid grinned before his attention turned to Avel. “Take care of this one. She’s a good girl.”
“Don’t I know it.” Avel paid for the drinks, grabbed Holly’s hand, and they headed out of the Enchanted Captain.
“How do you know Olid?” Her heart raced as her gaze ran over Avel. Why was he interested in her? This never happened. Well, only in her dreams. The dirty kind.
“We’re drinking buddies,” Avel said. “He’s a decent guy. Talks too much but always looks out for his customers.”
Holly almost had to run to keep up with Avel’s long strides, but he kept a tight grip on her hand, his thumb massaging her palm in a way that shouldn’t be sensual, but it made her core clench.
“This is me.” He opened the door and ushered her in.
The room lit with an amber glow as the door slid shut behind Holly. She jumped as Avel touched her shoulder. It had been a long time since she’d been interested in a guy. She liked to look, and there were some gorgeous aliens on Prodigy. The place was full of them, using the services of My Single Alien. Holly had even gone so far as to put in her own application to see if she could find her dream alien. So far, none of the matches had been right.
“Is everything okay?” Avel’s hand ran down her back as he gestured to the couch.
“Fine. I’m fine.” She hurried over and perched on the edge, trying not to look as awkward as she felt.
He smiled at her. “You don’t have to worry. We both want to enjoy ourselves. No pressure. What would you like to drink?”
