His brow furrowed. “I’ve little to add.”
“What about her hair color and eye color?”
“I like your color of hair. Your green eyes are unusual. Lillips don’t have different eye colors.”
“Yours are a kind of dense gray.” Sinead leaned across the table and stared into his big eyes.
“Do you like that color?”
“It suits you. They’re intense, and it adds an air of mystery.”
“You’re correct in that assumption,” Booby said. “Talyn is a man of mystery.”
“You’re not helping,” Talyn muttered.
“A bit of mystery is a good thing,” Sinead said. “You don’t want to lay your cards on the table at once. Where’s the fun in that?”
“You said you found my company calming,” Talyn said. “That’s a positive for you?”
“It will be a positive for anyone.” Sinead was tempted to grab his hand to get a quick blast of calmness but resisted. It wasn’t right to push herself on him. Instead, she grabbed another slice of pizza.
“It’s not a gift we often share,” Talyn said. “I don’t have much experience with physical contact with a female. It could be something all humans experience when they touch a Lillip.”
“No, we’ve matched Lillips with humans, and it’s never been mentioned.” Sinead lowered her pizza, and her pulse fluttered. “Does something different happen when we touch each other?”
“It’s possible.” Talyn’s gaze intensified. “If you wish to touch me again, you can.”
“Shall I dim the lights?” Booby asked.
Talyn sighed and shook his head. “No.”
Sinead looked at Talyn’s hand. She really wanted to touch him again.
Talyn nodded. “I want to go ahead with the joining through My Single Alien.”
“That’s brilliant.” Sinead let out a sigh. “I’ve got everything on my port screen if you want to run through the information. It’s a standard contract for you to sign. You’ll have seen a draft in advance of coming here.”
“Of course, I received it two weeks ago. Did your boss tell you we also have paperwork that requires signing?”
Sinead rubbed her chin. Vegas might have told her about that, but she sometimes got distracted when meetings dragged on. “It won’t be a problem. There’s nothing unusual in your contract, is there?”
“I sent it to Vegas Munro to approve, and she had no issue with it. We make few demands on our mates. But you must understand, Lillips mate for life.”
“That’s not a problem. We have an excellent success rate at My Single Alien.”
“Lillips never split up,” Talyn said, his tone deadly serious. “This is a big commitment.”
“You’ll be an ideal mate. I won’t be surprised if you have women queueing around the block to meet you.”
Talyn’s expression suggested confusion. “That won’t be necessary. I don’t want to waste anybody’s time. I’ve made my decision.”
“Well, okay then.” Sinead tried to keep her enthusiasm under wraps. Get this signature and she’ll have made her target. There was no way Diadora could moan at her once she got Talyn to sign up.
Talyn glanced at the port screen on the table in front of him. “Shall we begin?”
She grinned. “You’re keen.”
“I’m ready when you are.”
