Elias

“No, you really don’t. What you want is to find a woman who is happy to get on her knees now and again. She’ll take you into her mouth and send you shooting into the stars with her mouth.”

That didn’t sound too bad. “How does she achieve that?”

Tegor’s smile turned wicked. “She’ll grab your cock and put it in her mouth. I was so surprised the first time I went with a human and that’s what happened. At first, I thought it was a bit kinky, but it’s incredible. There’s so much heat and wetness and pressure. I didn’t last thirty seconds. It’s as sexy as hell to watch a woman devour you.”

Elias’s jaw dropped as revulsion spread through him. “Do you not value your cock?”

“It’s my most valuable asset.”

“Yet you let females put it in their mouths? Aren’t you concerned they’ll bite it off?”

Tegor roared out a laugh and clapped him on the back again. “You’ve been living in isolation for too long. You need to read something other than engineering files.”

Elias had led a sheltered life before moving to Prodigy. That was the Retar way. Old traditions and customs were valued over everything else. “I don’t get it.”

“Earth women are different to your experiences with female Retars. Oral pleasure is incredible. Giving and receiving.”

“Oral pleasure? You also eat your mates?”

“Not like the Retars do, you moron. We’re not all obsessed with sex and death. Going down on a woman and making her come on your tongue is the hottest thing I’ve ever done. She’s at your mercy, every muscle in her body shaking and trembling, and she’s calling your name and telling you to do it again. You have to try it. It will blow your mind.”

“Male Retars don’t eat their female mates. You know it’s the other way around.” Elias had alluded to his near death sexual experience but hadn’t revealed exactly what had tipped him over the edge and made him abandon his home. Tegor was smart and knew Elias hid something. If Tegor knew the truth about him, they would not be friends.

“I’m telling you, get your head out of the boring engineering files and educate yourself. It will bring new meaning to your sexual experiences when you do.” Tegor grabbed a screwdriver. “I’d better get back to work before the boss catches me slacking. Take my advice; you won’t regret it.”

Elias watched Tegor go. He had to admit his curiosity was raised. Perhaps Hayley would be different, not as terrifying as the females he’d encountered. He’d like to find out. He would love to give her pleasure. If there was a prospect of them being intimate, he’d want Hayley to enjoy herself.

He lifted his wrist comm and checked around to make sure no one was within earshot. “Computer, send the top ten links about human mating behavior to my screen for viewing later.”

“Confirmed,” the computer said.

Elias scrolled down the list, his eyebrows lifting as he saw titles that included: the ten favorite positions to give your partner multiple orgasms. The top five tips to oral pleasure with your partner. He nodded slowly. He would have an interesting evening ahead of him.

Elias adjusted his grip on his wrench and smiled. This felt good; this felt like progress. He could decipher what Hayley had meant when she’d invited him to devote with her.

Next time, he would be ready for her. Elias would not let Hayley down if she needed him again.

Chapter 5

Hayley stifled a yawn behind her hand and blew out a breath to calm her frustration. She’d messed up this matchmaking profile five times. She was glad no one was watching her get things so wrong.

Her lack of concentration was partly to blame. If only she could get these annoying thoughts of Elias out of her head. The persistent reminder of their disastrous dinner date kept returning to haunt her. She couldn’t work out what she’d said that was so wrong and made him run from her like she’d sprouted a second head. She’d tossed and turned all night, replaying their conversation.

When Hayley got a moment, she’d scan through the history of Retars and see where she’d messed up. Although she’d decided she couldn’t have Elias in her life in any form of romantic entanglement, she valued his friendship.

She glanced at Nell, wondering if she should ask for help, but she looked lost in her own matchmaking puzzle. She was also working with Kendra Connell and Sinead Murphy, the two new matchmakers who’d joined My Single Alien the same time as Hayley.

Her new boss, Vegas Munro, waddled out of her office. She was about to give birth any day but had still not gone on maternity leave. “How’s it going with the matches?”

“Getting there,” Hayley lied. “I’ve got a tricky one, but I’ll sort it out.”

“If you need any help, just ask. That’s if I’m not in the bathroom. I must have been up and down from my desk five times this morning.” Vegas patted her bulging stomach and grinned. Pregnancy suited her. Her skin glowed, and despite the awkwardness of her walk, Hayley knew Vegas loved being pregnant.

The door to the office slid open. Ivy Blaine strolled through wearing a tailored jumpsuit, her dark hair a neat, glossy bob around her perfectly made-up face. She waltzed over and stared at Hayley’s screen for several seconds.

Hayley tried not to shift in her seat as her nerves jittered. Ivy would spot she was a fraud and would call her out. “Is there something you wanted?”

Ivy snorted. “I work in PR, and even I can see that’s a terrible match you’re forcing.”
