She pulled him down for a long kiss. “This session is in holding, to be thoroughly completed later.”

Elias grinned at her. “You’re the boss.” He kissed her one more time before sliding from the couch and pulling on his clothes. He watched Hayley out of the side of his eye as she set to work. She worked quickly, her eyes focused on the screen and her gaze intense.

He made her a drink and set it by the couch. “Have you got everything you need?”

“I do if you stay with me.”

“You’re busy. I don’t want to distract you. I’m going out for a little while.” Elias had some unfinished business of his own. Business he did not want Hayley involved in.

Hayley looked up from the screen. “Where are you going?”

“I’m getting you food.”

“Great, I’m starving. Fighting a princess and sex with you has made me hungry.”

He grinned. “Then I’d better fill the cupboards because I’m planning on having lots of sex with you.”

Hayley laughed out loud. “Are you sure you don’t want to do it again now? I’m still naked.”

It took a lot to stop Elias from pushing her back on the couch and making her shake with pleasure again. “Later, I promise.” Leaving her with one last lingering kiss, Elias left his room and headed along the corridor.

He was getting Hayley something to eat, but there was someone he needed to see. He had an idea, and it involved Princess Isolt. She was an evil bitch with a vicious side but deplored the abuse of women. She was a true matriarch. If anyone abused a female on his home planet, they paid by losing their life. If Elias informed her of her new mate’s disgusting behavior against other women, Princess Isolt would want revenge.

Elias pushed aside the anxiety he felt as he approached the princess’s quarters. She held nothing over him anymore. Hayley had made sure of that.

A guard stood outside the door, his gaze shifting to Elias as he stopped in front of him.

“I’m here to see Princess Isolt.”

The guard shook his head. “She’s asked not to be disturbed.”

“She’ll want to see me. Tell her it’s Elias.”

The guard’s eyebrows rose. It seemed news of the fight to claim him had spread. “Wait here.” He entered the room and returned a moment later. “She will see you.”

Elias forced himself to remain calm as he stepped through the doorway. The room was dimly lit, with opulent throws scattered around the furnishings. Princess Isolt lay on the couch, an enormous nano-med patch attached to her nose. Although the swelling around her eyes had gone down, it was still obvious she’d come off worse in the fight with Hayley. His woman knew how to kick butt.

“Princess, thank you for giving me your time.”

She glared at him before holding out a hand. “Help me up.”

Elias only hesitated for a second before assisting her. Princess Isolt was no threat to him the condition she was in. Even so, her fingers dug into his flesh as if she hoped to hurt him.

“How are you?” Elias stepped back.

“I can barely breathe, thanks to that evil woman you have associated yourself with.”

“You could have given up your claim and not gone through with the fight. You got yourself in this mess.”

“How dare you,” she hissed out. “You should never have forced me to do that. You are the reason I have been injured and humiliated.”

“Hayley won the claim fairly. I am happy to be hers.” Elias tilted his head. “I am not here to talk about Hayley. I want to discuss your new mate. I believe you are joining with Professor Grenville?”

“What of it?”

“You might be interested in his reputation,” Elias said. “He’s not considered trustworthy around women.”

Her lips pursed. “What do you know of him?”
