Chapter 1
Nell Saunders made sure to keep her tablet screen tilted toward her, so no one could see what she was looking up. Her fingers scrolled down the options on the page in front of her. 1001 Hot Nights with an Alien. My Alien Lover and his Randy Tentacles. Anal Nights of Alien Probing. My Super Sexy Alien —
“How’s it going with those matches?” Heather Roberts looked over the top of her own tablet from the other side of the desk.
“Oh, good. Fine. I’m getting through them.” Or rather, that was what Nell should be doing. Instead, she couldn’t concentrate and was looking for an alien erotica book. There had to be something that got her hot.
Heather grinned. “I’m trying to figure out who would be the best match for this Picar. Suddenly, everyone wants their own horned alien.”
Nell nodded as she pushed her dark bangs to one side. “You should know.” Heather had been dating Loka, a one-horned Picar, for six months. They were crazy about each other.
Heather often spoke of their plans to go exploring in the stars and set up an outpost for My Single Alien that included a bakery. Loka would be by her side the whole way.
Nell was happy for them. She’d never seen Heather so content. It made her wonder why she couldn’t get all hot and bothered over the aliens she spent so many hours matchmaking.
She pulled up another screen and saw the potential human matches for a Draxdan. She read through his profile. He sounded lovely. He had a good income and described himself as attentive and thoughtful. Every human’s perfect alien. Except hers.
Nell’s attention drifted back to the books she’d been searching. There was so much hotness between the pages of the few books she’d tried that they’d had her blushing.
These writers must do their research when it came to aliens and what got them off. And that was a problem for her. Nell’s experience with aliens amounted to zero hours of naked, sweaty time. Her own attempts at writing erotica had resulted in lots of unsexy, clinical accounts of skin on scales or tentacles sucking fingers like they were chicken drumsticks. Not in any way hot or attractive.
The door to the office slid open. Avril Anwell, alien inductee extraordinaire at My Single Alien, walked in. She looked great, different to how she looked a few months ago. Not that she’d done much to her appearance, other than gain a few pounds. There was something about the way Avril walked these days, the way she held herself and smiled more. It was like she’d finally relaxed and found something to be happy about. That something was called Iska.
Ever since Avril had gotten together with a blond furred Mehab, she’d blossomed.
Nell found him terrifying. Iska didn’t smile often, although he always shared one with Nell when they were together. Iska could be heard purring from the end of the corridor when he had Avril by his side.
Her gaze went to the door, almost expecting to see Iska there. He found any excuse to hang out with Avril, even when she was training a group of new aliens.
“I am done-in.” Avril slumped into a seat next to Nell and scooped her red hair off her shoulders. “I’m thinking about getting some kind of weapon to control the next bunch of rowdy aliens who come into my training room.”
“Tough day?” Nell asked.
Avril grinned. “I’ve had worse. At least this lot wasn’t interested in sticking their genitals into holes they shouldn’t. But they got fixated on how to stimulate a woman’s breasts, and that’s all they would talk about. They didn’t want to know about anything else. Breast stimulation is not everything.”
“It sounds like alien guys are the same as human guys. They’re either breast men or butt men,” Heather said.
“This lot was definitely all about the boobies,” Avril said. “I had to extend their session by an hour, so I could run through the basics of reproduction. I might have to schedule in another session. Boobs will definitely be off the table if I do.”
Avril’s gaze went to Nell’s screen, and her eyes widened. “What are you looking at?”
Nell blushed, not realizing she’d let her screen drop. “It’s nothing, just some research.”
“That doesn’t look like research to me.” Avril pulled her chair closer. “Hot Alien Nights. Naked Adventures with my Lusty Alien.”
Nell turned her tablet facedown. “It’s a pop-up. I wasn’t looking.”
Heather laughed. “There’s no harm if you are. Why not get off over an alien? Some of them are gorgeous.”
Nell twisted her fingers together. “I know. It’s just that sometimes...” she hated to say that the aliens left her cold. Everyone else seemed so into aliens. She didn’t get it. She didn’t get the appeal.
Avril patted her hand. “It’s okay to have particular tastes. Sometimes, you don’t even know what your tastes are until you find them. I never imagined myself dating some grumpy, furry alien with a tail.”
“He’s never grumpy when he’s around you,” Nell said.
Avril grinned. “I bring out the best in Iska. But I need to remind him not to scowl at everybody as we walk by. It makes them think he’s scary.”
“He is scary,” Heather said.
