My Craving

“Then we deal with them when you’re ready to tell me.”

For a moment, he simply watches me. Then his gaze drops to my mouth.

I pull him into a kiss, slower this time, giving him room to choose what happens next. Nash answers by gripping the back of my neck and kissing me harder. He drives me onto the mattress and follows, his tongue pushing into my mouth while his body presses over mine.

The scrape of his stubble against my jaw and the solid weight of him above me are still new. I want more of both. My hands slide down his back to his ass, pulling him against me as he shifts his hips until our cocks grind together through the fabric between us.

My breath catches.

Nash grins against my mouth and does it again, slower this time. “How long do we have before dinner?”

“Not long enough.” I grip his hips before he can give me another roll that makes me reconsider every obligation I have tonight. “Get dressed, Nash.”

His lower lip pushes out in a pout. I lift my head and catch it between my teeth, tugging just hard enough to earn a low groan before letting him go.

“Are you sure we need to go now? I’m a firm believer in being fashionably late.”

“Not to Alessia’s dinner.”

I give his ass one last swat before sitting up and bringing him with me. Nash sighs dramatically as he gets to his feet and starts dressing. Once his boots are on, he looks down at his V-neck T-shirt and skinny jeans, then at me.

“Do I need to go home and change?”

I take in the leather bracelets stacked around his wrist, the rings on his fingers and the front of his shirt tucked loosely into his jeans. “No. You look great just as you are.”

His mouth curves, but by the time I return from washing my hands, he’s looking less certain about the evening ahead. “I’m still not really sure why I’m agreeing to this.”

I take his hand as we leave the bedroom, grabbing my jacket and phone on the way through my office. “You can spend the drive figuring it out.”

Nash turns on the radio almost as soon as I start the car. I gave Kenji the night off because I wanted the time alone with him, but Nash seems content to let the music fill the silence. I find myself looking over at him more often than I should until he catches me doing it.

“If you keep staring at me instead of the road, meeting your family is going to become the least dangerous part of my evening.”

I turn my attention back to the windshield. “I can see the road.”

“Famous last words.”

“You’re beautiful, A Sholas.”

He shifts in his seat to look at me. “We’ve moved on to Irish now? Should I be concerned?” His voice turns playful. “Let me guess. Brat? Baby boy?”

I keep my eyes on the road and let him wonder.

By the time I drive through the gates at Kieran and Alessia’s, Nash has gone quieter. Their house comes into view at the end of the long drive, familiar enough that I barely notice its size anymore. I’ve spent more time here over the years than I have in my own home.

None of the kids’ vehicles are in the driveway when I park. I’m relieved. Meeting Kieran and Alessia is enough for tonight without the rest of the family descending on him at once.

Nash is still looking at the house when I open his door and hold out my hand. His grin appears as he takes it. “Such a gentleman, Mr. Murphy.”

The slight tremor in his fingers gives him away. I tighten my hand around his rather than calling attention to it and lead him toward the house.

He glances at me as we reach the front door. “You’re not going to tell me what A Sholas means, are you?”

“Not yet.”

“That’s rude.”

“You’ll survive.”
