The first twenty are basically Lexy documenting our entire trip. Pictures of all of us at the airport. The view from the plane. The drive here. The sea. Nora's nonna.

Then I stop at a picture of me and Nora.

She's sitting at the table laughing at something her nonna said, completely unaware of the camera.

And in the background, I'm looking at her.

I stare at the picture for a few seconds before somehow my thumb hits save.

I keep scrolling.

Ethan: Great. Now my wife wants to visit Calabria too.

Nora: Of course! Whenever you want @Summer. You can stay at my parents' beach house. They wouldn't mind.

I close the family chat and see a text from Ethan.

I lock my phone and throw it into my backpack.

When I look up, Nora, Chiara and Lexy are already in the crystalline water, swimming.
