“And in those few weeks, we haven’t spent a night apart. Is that going to change now?” he asks, and I shake my head, wondering if I’m crazy for even considering moving in with him. “My first memory of you is you walking into that entryway and you welcoming me home, and it feeling like home,” he says softly, and my eyes fill with tears. “Could you be happy there?”

“Absolutely, and not just because it has a library,” I whisper, and he laughs. “This is so weird.” I shake my head.

“What?”

“Being in love with you,” I mumble, and his brows drag together.

“Being in love with me is weird?”

“Yeah, kind of,” I admit, then add, “It’s just nothing like what I had before and everything I didn’t know I needed until I got it. I like it.”

“That’s good, baby,” he says softly as my phone starts to ring.

“Sorry.” I place my bag on my lap, start to dig through for my phone, and frown when I feel something cold brush my fingertips. Pulling the object out, my chest feels strange. I haven’t seen or thought about the heart-shaped rock the girl in the park gave me right before my world crumbled back in Chicago. What did she call it? A love stone, and she said it would bring me my true love.

Staring at it, I swear that a million little pieces click into place. My breakup with Johnathan, moving home, meeting Wyatt, all the time we’ve spent together. How easy it was to fall in love with him.

“What’s that?” Wyatt asks, and I lift my head and meet his gaze.

“Nothing.” I shake my head and tuck the heart-shaped rock away.

I take out my phone and send the call coming in to voicemail, then put my cell on silent so we can enjoy lunch without being interrupted.

Maybe one day I’ll tell him about the stone and what that cute little girl told me, or maybe I’ll keep it to myself, because a magic rock sounds just as wild as a ghost, Bigfoot, and aliens.

So This Is Love

“We seriously cannot be late,” I breathe against Wyatt’s mouth as he drags my skirt up my thighs and presses me back against the doorway to the library.

“They can’t start without me,” he groans, his fingers shoving my panties to the side, then diving in between my legs, making me gasp. “I love how fucking wet you get for me.”

“Wyatt, I’m serious. We can’t be late.” I wrap my leg around his hip and feel him smile against the skin of my throat.

“Again, baby.” He shoves two fingers inside me. “They can’t start without me.”

“Oh god,” I moan, riding his fingers.

“Mouth or cock?” Seriously, how could I possibly choose between the two?

“Both,” I tell him, and he laughs.

“We can’t be late, remember.”

“You said they can’t start without you.”

“True, but I can only give you one right now.”

“Your cock, then,” I get out, then mewl in disappointment when he pulls his hand from between my legs. I’m thankful he does a second later when I feel him working the buckle of his belt while he takes my mouth in a deep kiss.

“Hop up,” he orders after dragging his mouth from mine, and I do as I’m told, not having to hop very high in the heels that I have on. Wrapping my legs around his hips, I dig my nails into his back as he thrusts into me in one stroke that makes me gasp. “Christ.”

“Yes.” I slide my fingers into the hair at the nape of his neck and pull his mouth toward mine as he slams into me over and over with his hands gripping my ass.

“I fucking love you.” The roughly spoken statement is all it takes to send me over the edge. And as I moan down his throat, he groans down mine and plants himself inside me. Breathing heavy and heart pounding, I let my head fall back against the wall with a thud and smile. “I guess I don’t need to ask if you like my outfit.”
