OOPS

Uriel stared, stunned speechless. Again?

The condom was empty. Bruiser’s cum was nowhere to be seen. The bed wasn’t all that wet beneath him, which meant only one thing: Most of Bruiser’s cum was now inside him.

“Fuck,” Bruiser growled.

Suddenly, Uriel was off the bed, his feet dangling above the floor.

Bruiser carried him to the bathroom and sat him on the toilet, but there was no mistaking the thick white fluid dripping down his thighs.

“Um,” Uriel said. His brain had stopped working.

“Yeah,” Bruiser said. “That’s exactly how I felt the first time.”

“Is it a coincidence?” Uriel blurted. “Are condoms allergic to you?”

“No.” The alpha frowned. “They’ve only ever broken when I’m with you. Maybe they’re allergic to you?”

Uriel wrinkled his nose. “How? Magic doesn’t...”

Magic itself didn’t automatically interact with condoms, but... Sometimes Uriel wielded his magic without incantations or runes.

Sometimes all he had to do was think about it, and things happened.

I wish there was nothing separating me from his cock. That memory shone brightly in his head.

Uriel drew a deep breath. “Fuck.”

“What is it?”

How did you tell your heat partner that you were secretly indulging in a fantasy, and your magic made it real? Uriel hadn’t spent his heats with any other alpha; he hadn’t had the chance to discover how his control might slip during sex.

“My magic,” Uriel said, his ears burning.

“How?”

Uriel looked away. “It’s not important, right? Things are already fucked up.”

“What if your magic is allergic to other things? I should be prepared.” Bruiser looked so worried that Uriel sighed.

“It won’t happen again,” Uriel said slowly, “because I don’t wish for condoms to disappear in my daily life.”

Bruiser stared. His jaw dropped. Then his face turned faintly pink. Damn it, why did he have to look adorable?

Actually, why had Uriel gone and blurted his secrets to Bruiser? Fuck.

He glanced away, horrified at himself.

“So... You want to keep the baby?” Bruiser said hesitantly.

Uriel opened and closed his mouth, trying to think of an answer. Indulging in a fantasy—of being bred by Bruiser, no less—wasn’t exactly the same as wanting a second child. He hadn’t even considered the possibility of having another baby. “I wasn’t... thinking about the actual baby,” Uriel mumbled, his face burning hotter. “Just the making of one.”

Bruiser’s gaze darkened. “However it happened, I want you to know that I’ll be responsible for the pregnancy, if you’ll let me. Hell, I’ll be happy to provide support for Cassie too. Anything you need.”

Again, Uriel was struck speechless. With everything that had been happening, they hadn’t had time to discuss Cassie. But Uriel already knew that he couldn’t turn down help for his daughter.

“Okay,” he said slowly. “You can... help with Cassie. Some. A little.”
