Snowed in with My Boss

“I can take it,” she mutters, attempting to wiggle close again.

“I’m not going to do anything to hurt you.” I hop out of bed and pull on my sweatpants as another idea occurs to me. “I’ve had enough of being cooped up, and the storm is finally letting up. Let’s go outside for a little adventure,” I suggest, hoping to distract her from torturing my hungry cock.

“Adventure?” The excited gasp makes me chuckle to myself. “What kind of adventure do you have in mind?”

“We’ll have a quick breakfast, and then we’ll go outside and see how deep the snow got. If you’re a good girl, maybe we can have a snowball fight or two.” I wiggle my eyebrows at her.

She’s mulling it over, calculating the pros and cons of getting out of the cabin versus the warmth of the blankets. “Minnie isn’t going to like us abandoning her.”

I laugh, throwing my hands up in mock surrender. “Minnie is tough. I’ll bribe her with a can of tuna when we come back inside. Trust me, she’ll be fine.”

“Alright, you’ve convinced me.” She finally emerges from the cocoon of blankets, grabbing a sweater and slipping it on.

Scarlett follows me into the kitchen and stands at the counter with her slightly tousled hair and her fiery intensity simmering beneath the surface. I reach into the refrigerator and pull out a variety of ingredients.

“Okay, what’s the plan here?” she tosses over her shoulder, flashing a look that’s equal parts challenge and mischief.

I’m leaning against the counter, sipping coffee, pretending to contemplate our options as if I haven’t just been caught watching her. “We’ll keep it simple. Eggs, bacon, and toast.”

“What do you want me to do?” She jumps right in.

“Why don’t you make the toast while I whip up the eggs and bacon?”

“Yes, sir,” she tosses back teasingly, and the only thing that stops me from fucking her on the icy granite countertop is knowing her sweet little pussy needs a break.

The bacon hits the pan with a sizzle while she puts a couple of slices of bread in the toaster. I find the kitchen stereo remote and turn on Christmas tunes for us to listen to while we work.

Minnie, her feline majesty, sits before the fireplace like a queen overseeing her domain, casting a judgmental glance our way, as if breakfast has yet again failed to meet her high expectations.

“Look at her.” I nod toward the cat, my voice dripping with playful disdain. “Does she ever approve, or is everything just beneath her?”

Scarlett glances over and chuckles. “Minnie’s waiting for us to realize the world revolves around her. Clearly, we haven’t earned her approval.”

“The story of my life,” I grumble, keeping one eye on the bacon, earning a laugh from Scarlett.

“What do you think, Minnie?” Scarlett calls over, shooting the cat a look that is met with a disdainful flick of her magnificent tail.

“She’s plotting. Probably something involving world domination,” I muse playfully.

“It wouldn’t surprise me in the least.” Scarlett laughs as we dish up our food.

After we eat our breakfast and feed the finicky feline, we head to the storage room to find coats heavy enough to ward off the chilly Colorado weather.

Chapter 10

Scarlett

Stepping outside feels like plunging into a frozen, twinkling wonderland where every tree branch is draped in powdery white like in some kind of snow globe. The air is brisk, nipping at my cheeks, but I can’t help but bounce on my feet a little, excitement bubbling up.

Noah stands beside me, bundled up in a hefty jacket that only seems to emphasize how solid his frame is. The wind tousles his dark hair, and he looks at me with a grin that suggests he knows a bit of trouble is just waiting to unfold. “Ready for some real fun?” he asks, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

“Only if you’re ready to lose!” I scoff back, knowing snowball fights are serious business.

With a quick pivot, Noah picks up a handful of snow, shapes it into a perfect ball, and before I can react, he launches it at me. I see the white projectile flying through the air, but I don’t have time to duck.

Splat! It hits me square in the chest, and I burst out laughing, the shock of the icy impact jolting through me. “Oh, it’s on!” I shout, gathering snow in my own gloved hands, my competitive spirit igniting like a spark in a dry forest.

Almost immediately, I return fire, and we become two competing snow warriors, arms moving like tennis champions as we dart around the backyard, desperately trying to dodge incoming projectiles while launching our own. I can hear Noah’s laughter ringing out over the whirling wind.
