-Your Solnyshko.
Fuck.
I don’t even realise I’m crying until a tear hits the page, blurring the I promise into something unreadable. My breath turns uneven, shaking in my chest as everything around me starts to close in.
No.
I push myself up, ignoring the way my body protests, ignoring the pain screaming through my legs.
I can’t let her die.
“Where are you going?” My limping halts when Roman blocks the door. “You need to rest.”
“London.” I reply, pushing at his chest but he simply shakes his head. I’m wasting time.
“I sent Alec with her. He’ll make sure to bring her back.” Roman’s assurance doesn’t help and my blood only boils, threatening to pop a vessel.
“She’s going to kill herself, fucking move.” I yell, the letter bunching in my fist as I grab his collar.
His eyes widen slightly before he nods.
“I’ll drive you.” He orders and starts walking ahead of me as I limp my way to the living room.
His thumb moves quickly over his phone as he dials. A long silence stretches between us before he exhales and shakes his head. “He’s not picking up.”
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Not again.
Not this time.
I freeze mid-step when I find the giant bouquet of pink roses sitting in my living room.
I eye it warily and march towards it, a letter very different from hers sits neatly. I was writing her a love letter while she was busy signing her own death sentence.
The roses aren’t dying before she touches them, and neither is she.

Zero days left.
“He’s going to be furious.” Alec complains, meeting my gaze in the rear-view mirror as he drives.
I’d wanted to go alone, but Roman refused to hear it. He was so adamant it nearly turned into a fight—at one point, he even threatened to come himself.
That’s when I chose Alec. He’s…easier.
Less suffocating. Less overbearing.
Roman would never have let me do what I have to do.
And something tells me Alec doesn’t care if I live or die, which makes him the perfect companion.
The problem is, Alina is here too.
“I’ll go back once I meet my sister.” I reply, my head turned to the right as I gawk at the trees passing by in a blur.
I received a call from the hospital; my sister fell down the stairs, but something warm in my chest bloomed when they told me I was listed as her emergency contact.
