Her eyes flutter shut, lips parting on a quiet gasp as my finger circles her clit.
“That’s a dirty trick asking me that right now,” she says, half-laugh, half-moan, sighing when I slip inside her.
I chuckle, languidly fucking in and out of her. “Lachlan.”
“Huh?”
“My name is Lachlan. Well, Lockie.”
A frown crosses her beautiful features as she opens her eyes. “I thought we weren’t going to give each other our names.”
I shrug, teeth latching onto her ear and tugging. “I want to hear you use mine when I make you come.”
Another finger joins the first, curling against that spot I’ve recently discovered she loves.
“Thea,” she pants. “It’s Thea.”
Smiling against her shoulder, I suck light bruises into her perfect skin. “You going to come for me, Thea?”
Her hips roll in time with my fingers, her hand gliding down my chest and wrapping around my cock. I groan at the feeling of her starting to move. No one before her has come close to this. It’s not the act itself—it’s just a hand job, for fuck’s sake; it shouldn’t feel like this—but I’m fucking up into her fist, my fingers in perfect rhythm, thrusting deep into her cunt, needing to watch her break.
“God, Lockie—”
I’m a damn fool for not telling her my name sooner, because hearing it now, nothing’s ever sounded so sweet.
“That’s it, lass,” I breathe, already at the edge. “Louder. Say my name. Let me hear how no one has ever made you come like this.”
Her body tightens around me, pulling me straight over with her. She shakes, raised onto her tiptoes, her breathy whimpers a melody I want to listen to over and over. She’s still dazed by the time it’s over, a lazy smile as she pushes out of the shower, tucking a towel around herself. I follow, wrapping the other around my waist, stepping behind her and pressing my lips to her bare shoulder as she grabs her toothbrush, grinning around it in the mirror like this is normal, like we do this every day instead of it being the last morning we have.
“I want to see you again.”
She pauses, toothpaste foam at her lips. “What?”
“After we leave. I want to see you again.”
“But we said—” She stops when I trail slow, open-mouthed kisses down her neck, feeling her melt back against me. She searches my face in the mirror, a small smile pulling at her lips, before she spits into the sink and wipes her mouth. “Okay. Next time you’re in LA, or I’m in New York, we’ll let each other know and see what happens.”
I spin her around and kiss her once more, long and slow, tasting mint on her tongue. Laughing, she pushes me away, turning back to the sink. I head into the bedroom just as my phone lights up on the nightstand.
Grabbing it, I don’t bother checking the screen before answering, putting it on speaker, and tossing it onto the bed as I move to my bag I’d grabbed from my room yesterday.
“Yeah?”
“Got a job for you,” my boss says, no preamble. “Came in late last night.”
Behind me, the water shuts off in the bathroom as I dig through for something clean. “Who is it?”
“Big athlete, Tiger Woods level,” he says as I pull up my underwear and step into my jeans. “He’s flying to Pebble Beach, some commercial shoot. Wants tight security, minimal rotation. You’re lead.”
I drag the zipper up, nodding even though he can’t see me. “When?”
“Tomorrow morning. TAC Management will send the full brief through within the hour. I’ll forward it on as soon as it lands in my inbox.”
Movement in the doorway pulls my attention. Thea’s standing there, barefoot, hair damp around her shoulders, wearing one of those oversized hotel robes, belt tied loosely around her waist. Her eyes are locked on me, alert, panicked even.
“Understood,” I say into the phone, stepping toward her. “Send it through.”
The line clicks dead, the silence deafening in the suite. Her throat works as she swallows, fingers tightening around her toiletry bag.
