Elena wobbles on her legs when I set her back down on her feet. I took her hard. It pains me to put my length back in my pants but the fun times are over.
“Is your body sore?” I ask. “Your poor pussy. I took it hard.”
She blushes. Fuck, it makes my cock hard. “Where is my underwear?”
“In here.” I pat my pocket.
“Can I have it back?”
“No. I like knowing you’re not wearing anything underneath your clothes. Isn’t it more exciting?”
“Yes,” she admits. “This is all so new for me.”
I cup her face. I just want to keep touching her. “I know. But that makes it fun, doesn’t it? I remember doing everything for the first time.”
She frowns. “I don’t like thinking about your past.” It’s the first time she’s ever really told me this.
“Does it make you jealous?”
“How can I compare to other women?”
I sigh and bring her into my arms. “Elena, you don’t need to be jealous, even if it does make me happy in a twisted sort of way. I like that you care. But I’m with you. Not those other women. I won’t cheat. I haven’t yet.”
“Yet.”
I wince. “I didn’t mean it like that. I only want to be with you. I haven’t touched another woman since we married. I swear.”
She looks into my eyes for a long beat before nodding. “I believe you. I trust you. I have no other choice.”
“I know I fucked up before. With… with Alisa. Not telling you about that. But things are over with her. It’s just you and me now.”
“I’m worried you’ll get bored one day with me. How can a man go from being with multiple women to just one?”
“A man who knows what he wants. And I wanted you, Elena. I still do.”
She nods but I can sense the uncertainty inside of her. She’s still trying to fully trust me and I know that will take time. I can only keep showing Elena that I’m here for her.
Elena
I grip my book of poetry so hard, my knuckles turn white. I submitted my piece for Professor Burgov’s internship. Now all I have to do is wait. But I know there’s more I need to do. More I want to do.
“I want to try again,” I say to Maxim over the dinner table. I set my poetry book down and his eyes flick to it. “I want to try reading a poem out loud. I wasn’t able to before.”
“You think you’re ready now?”
“I’m not sure. But I’ve shared so much with you. I’m not as afraid as I once was. I would like to try.”
His soft smile makes my heart warm. “I’m glad. I want you to try. Why don’t you invite Lana? I’m sure she’d love to hear your poetry.”
“Lana’s never read my poetry. That’s something I always kept to myself.”
“Until me.”
“Well… you kind of forced me.” I smile so he knows I’m not being completely serious.
“I think it would be good for you. You have family problems, baby. That much is obvious. You should share it with the sister you’re close to anyway.”
“Adriana would feel left out if she wasn’t able to come. She always feels lefts out.”
