Camp repairs.
Fishing trips.
Emily leaving for college.

One page had been folded.
She carefully opened it.

Emily came home after dark.
She was terrified.
She told me there was a little girl at the camp.
She said she couldn't trust anyone wearing a badge.
Sheriff Tate slowly lowered himself onto an old crate.

Judy kept reading.
She begged me to hide two boxes.
One was meant to be found.
The other was never supposed to be discovered unless something happened to her.
I felt every Ranger in the room become perfectly still.
Emily had planned for the possibility of her own death.

The handwriting became hurried.
