His face is red from embarrassment as he barrels forward, ignoring Mountain and Bomber’s comments and only making his case worse. “Why doesn’t she make one anyway? Would have saved a lot of hassle.”

I don’t miss the cockiness in his tone. There’s something in his eyes hiding behind the fear that tells me he would make her report go away.

“Because we handle things our own way, Brad. You know that,” I tell him as I close in on him.

Brad snorts. “She was ask—”

I draw my fist back and hit him in the jaw. The sound of his teeth clinking together only spurs me on as his head flies back.

Brad cups his jaw as he looks at me with crazy eyes.

“Fuck you,” Brad spits at me as he tries to punch me back.

My hand catches his fist, wrapping around it as I block him. Using the momentum from the block, I twist his arm around and behind him before using my other arm to slam down on his shoulder, dislocating it with a pop.

Brad cries out as he crumbles to the ground.

“Get the fuck up and fight me like a man,” I growl as I throw another punch, this time to his gut.

Brad curls up in the fetal position, trying to hide the sensitive areas from me.

“Next time your ass is in jail, I’m going to fuck your bitch,” Brad hisses.

“Oh shit,” I hear one of my brothers say, but I can’t focus on them.

All I can see is red.

There’s no holding me back as I land punch after punch, hitting every open spot on his body. Brad is rolling around the floor, trying to dodge them as he curls into a tighter ball, but it’s no help.

Not when I’m coming at him from every angle.

I have him by the throat, pinning him down, and I beat him to a fucking pulp.

I don’t register the roaring noise is coming from me until Bomber grabs my arm, trying to pull me off him.

“Sling, brother, he’s good. We don’t want to kill him, remember?”

I punch him three more times before Mountain pulls me off, throwing me back. I slide across the wooden floor, my back hitting the couch as I try to catch my breath. My knuckles are cut up, bloody, and bruised.

Brad is on the floor in the fetal position, moaning. His left eye is swollen shut. Blood is leaking from his nose and his lip is busted up. Bruises are already forming all over his body.

Bomber pulls me to my feet and pats me on the back before nudging me toward the back door.

“If I find out you so much as look at Blake again, you’re fucking dead. Consider this your warning,” I tell him as I wipe my bloody knuckles on my jeans and head out the back door with my brothers in tow.

Fuck that guy.

Chapter

Eighteen

BLAKE

I’m a ball of anxiety as I drive to work.

I know Sling told me he isn’t going to kill that guy, but something in my gut tells me when he says that, it’s a gray area. I could ask him until I’m blue in the face what he did to him, but Sling will never tell me.

I groan as I pull into the parking lot and see Russ’s car parked in his reserved spot. Of course, out of all the days for him to decide to actually show up for work while we’re open today is the one he would pick.
