“What do you want to talk about?” she asks as she crosses her legs and tries to pull the end of her dress further down her legs. It’s not working very well because there isn’t any more fucking fabric.
“What do I want to talk about?” I laugh. It sounds dead even to my ears. Aisling stops playing with the hem and looks at me, her expression telling me she’s ready for a fight. Well, let’s fucking go, baby doll. “Let’s start with why the fuck you thought it was okay to go out on a date to a fancy-ass restaurant with a bitch in a suit wearing that dress?”
“What’s wrong with my dress?” Aisling asks as she looks down at herself and frowns. “I thought I looked good.”
“That’s what’s wrong with it. You don’t wear a dress that shows off your tits and ass for another man,” I explain, my voice getting lower and lower with each word.
Maybe fucking her on the hood of my car didn’t take as much of an edge off as I thought.
“I wasn’t showing off my tits for another man!” Aisling snaps, her brow furrowing.
God, she looks fucking cute when she’s all worked up.
“Could’ve fooled me.”
“For your information, he wasn’t looking at my tits because he was too busy talking about himself all night!”
“Bad date?” I ask, my lip tipping up.
“Can we just stop talking about it?” Aisling sighs, slumping back into the corner of the couch, making her dress rise.
“Not until you tell me why you went out on a date with another man when we originally had plans this weekend. And still do. Were you planning on blowing me off after you brought him back here where our fucking kid is sleeping to fuck him?” I growl.
Aisling looks disgusted as her head rears back and her face scrunches up. “Ew! I wasn’t going to fuck him. Are you crazy?”
“Watch it. I’m barely holding it together, and you playing in my face isn’t helping.”
“I’m not playing in your face, jackass!” Aisling yells.
I lunge forward, clamping my hand over her mouth. “Our fucking son is sleeping feet away, so how ‘bout you calm the fuck down.” Her deep breaths escape out of her nose and hit my hand. She opens her mouth slightly, trying her best to get a good bite into my palm. “You’re not calming down, baby doll. That’s okay, I like seeing my hand over your sweet mouth like this. Makes me extra hard when you bite it.”
Aisling’s lips move against my hand, but it comes out a mumbled mess that only she understands. I’m sure she’s cussing me out.
This has more than one benefit because she can’t talk over me.
“I don’t like being lied to. I’ll tell you until I’m blue in the face that I’m sorry and I fucked up. But we’re starting clean, and I don’t appreciate you going on a date to get a jab in. This isn’t tit for tat high school bullshit. Because what will happen if you try this again won’t be a high school bullshit reaction. You know what I mean?” Aisling shakes her head against my hand. “It means I’ll fucking kill him.” Aisling gulps. “You feel me now?” Aisling nods her head. “Good girl.”
I release my hand and sit back on my side, angling my body toward her. My poor baby doll looks like she doesn’t know which way is up from down.
She will, though.
I’ll steer her right.
“I just want it on record that it was Frankie’s idea,” Aisling speaks after a few moments.
“Throwing your girl under the bus?” I smirk, knowing she would never do that.
“No, I know I went along with it, but the date was booked before you came back into my life. She just forgot to tell me about it.”
“But you still went. You could have told him to fuck all the way off.”
“That’s rude, Hash.” Aisling glares. “Unlike you, I actually will show up when I tell someone I’m going to be there.”
“I don’t give a fuck when it was made. You should have told him no.”
“I never even talked to the guy before this!”
I shoot her a look that tells her I don’t believe a fucking word that’s coming out of her mouth.
