They all grunt in agreement.
“We need to take his punk ass the fuck out,” Gio says. “I’ve never liked his ass, always acting like he’s too good for us and the level he’s at is beneath him. I ought to cut his eyelid off and shove it down his throat to see if he likes the taste of betrayal. Then I’ll remind him that’s what his dick will taste like when I make him eat that. There’s nothing I hate more than two timing bitches.” Gio pauses when he notices all of us staring at him. “What? It’s the same type of silky skin! Tell me I’m wrong.”
It’s hard to not contain my smirk when Gio goes off like this. An unhinged Gio is equally disturbing as it is entertaining.
“Jesus fucking Christ. I don’t know what’s wrong with you half the fucking time.” Alessio shakes his head, downing the rest of his drink.
“What I don’t hear is you telling me I’m fucking wrong.”
“Anyway,” Aldo rolls his eyes at Gio, “what are we doing about Rob?”
“I was thinking about having Enzo stay back with both of them.”
“He’s going to fucking hate that,” Alessio says.
“Probably.” I incline my head. “But if he wants to move up and take over Forest Glen and that area, he needs to prove that he can take care of people in our family when asked.”
“So while Rob’s eyes are on Wren, Enzo’s will be on Rob’s without Rob even realizing it? Fucking smart.” Gio nods along. “I can get behind that shit.”
“Exactly. It might only be a week that I’m gone, but I don’t trust Rob’s ass as far as I can throw it.”
“You think he will catch on?” Aldo asks. “I don’t think he’s as dumb as he looks.”
He’s definitely not as dumb as he fucking looks, but when your head is so far up your ass, you tend to lose sight of things around you.
“He’s not, but I think his ego is going to hinder what’s going on right around him. He thinks we’re too fucking stupid to notice what he’s doing, and that pisses me off.”
“I get dibs on him,” Gio growls.
“You can have dibs,” I sigh. “But I get Nicholas.”
“All of this looks great, Ma,” I say as I take a seat next to Wren at the dining room table. “You didn’t need to go all out.”
“Oh, you hush.” Ma brushes it off, but you can tell she loves to do the most. “I couldn’t have Wren over to my home for the first time and serve her scraps. What would she think of me then?”
I snort. Of course she would think someone would judge her based on how much food she serves. Ever since I can remember, it’s been how she shows her love. You’re feeling sick? Your fridge will be stocked with meals you just need to heat up. She will already have them portioned out and everything. Hell, I don’t even go grocery shopping because she does it for all of us.
“I think it all looks amazing, Camilla.” Wren smiles at her. Just as I pick up a dish to scoop some on my plate before passing it off, Wren’s hand starts trailing up my thigh, making me tense. “Thank you so much for having me over for dinner.”
“The pleasure is all mine. I’ve been dying to meet you. I hope I haven’t come on too strong. I’ve just waited for this day for so long. As far as I’m concerned, you’re part of the family now.”
“That means so much to me. Truly.” The smile stays on Wren’s face as she continues her assault. Her hand is now on my upper thigh, just below where the head of my cock is resting.
“How long have you lived in Ravenna Heights?” Ma asks.
Wren tilts her head as she thinks about it. “Umm, over a decade now. I moved here when I was pretty young and just fell in love with the city.”
Wren’s fingertips swirl around the head of my growing cock, sending a jolt through my body, making me drop the fork in my hand. The sound of the metal hitting the porcelain plate echoes throughout the room.
“Are you okay?” Wren asks. Anyone looking at her would think it’s laced with concern, but I know it’s complete and utter bullshit.
I clear my throat as I take a large drink. “I’m fine. Must have slipped.”
“Well, that’s just lovely. Is your family here too, then?” Ma continues on as if nothing happened, but I don’t miss the sly little smirk she quickly shoots me before turning her attention back to her.
Fucking tease.
“No, unfortunately. They aren’t part of my life anymore,” Wren answers, scooping a little bit of food on her plate from the last dish that’s passed around.
