Remy slid deeply inside his mate, his love. No other woman had ever made him feel like this—no other woman could. He began kissing her lips, tasting and teasing and feeling the connection between them.

The unbreakable tie that he could find anytime, anywhere.

And it would always lead him home.

He couldn’t get close enough. He stroked her deep, so deep, and it still wasn’t enough so he hooked one arm in the crook of her knee and angled her hips so he could go even deeper.

The waves of power and emotion began to build, washing over him again and again. Once more, blue light danced over their skin.

This time he was ready. He opened his heart, all the way, so he could feel every part of her in every part of him.

And the wave took him.

With a cry, he thrust more deeply still, throbbing with release. The bonding magic rippled over them, getting stronger and brighter, pulsing between them.

A deep sound chimed inside him, like a gong striking a note so low it could only be felt, not heard. He sank his teeth into the muscle between Jaeda’s neck and shoulder, claiming her, at the same time she sank her teeth into him, biting deep.

They were claimed. They were one.

A blue light filled the room, fierce and blinding, infusing every cell of their bodies with magic. Remy, his hand underneath Jaeda’s back, felt her last scar smooth and heal under his hand, until he could barely feel it.

And then there was nothing but waves of pleasure, more than he ever thought was possible—almost more than he could stand. He lost himself in her, in the feeling, in the knowledge that he would never be alone.

He had his brother, and his mate. He was truly, deeply loved. Their bodies stilled, and Remy smiled, watching the sparkly blue light slowly fade.

For a long time they lay twined together, not moving, not speaking. Just feeling.

Suddenly, Jaeda sat up like she’d been pricked with a pin.

Remy raised himself on his elbow. “Babe. Are you okay?”

“I can do it,” she said.

“Do what?”

“I can do it! I know how.”

She jumped out of bed, and her body shimmered, bones cracking. She became a leopard, and then a wolf. And then a huuuuge polar bear. She lumbered forward and snuffled his belly, making him laugh. “That tickles!”

Then she became an owl and fluttered up to land on the bed. She preened his hair with her beak.

“Damn!” Remy put his arms around her and hugged her. “That was amazing. I told you you’re amazing.” She nibbled at his neck with her beak. “Careful, babe,” he said. “That thing is sharp.”

She Changed back to human, and he kissed her again. “Did you see that?” she said. “I can be All the Animals.” She grabbed her pad off the night table. “Let’s start a list.”

Remy slid down and kissed her knee. “Of what?”

“Of all the things I can try being.”

He kissed her thigh. “I’d rather start a list of all the sexual positions we can try.”

That stopped her in her tracks. “Can we really?” she asked. “Can we research them and write them all down and put them in priority order?”

Remy couldn’t stop smiling. He loved her so much when she organized. “Yes. Definitely. Or we could categorize them by mood. You know: Romantic. Adventurous. Hot and wild. Bondage. Male dominant. Female dominant. Food-related.”

He kissed his way up to her breast, gathered it into his hand, and kissed her nipple. The pen slid from her fingers. “And then there’s toys,” he added. “We might need a whole notebook for this. With color-coded tab dividers.”

“You are making me so hot right now.”

“Is it the kissing or the tab dividers?”

“Both.”

He captured her lips, pushing her down on the bed. After an eternity of long, slow kisses, he said softly, “You are the best thing that ever happened to me. I’m going to buy you organizers and office supplies forever.”

She smiled at him. “I love you, owl-leopard. I will love you forever.”

He kissed her right over her heart. “Even after I die, I’ll love you in the spirit world. Always.”
