I’m not sure how long I stay on the floor, drenching the carpet with my sorrow. Suddenly the door opens, and I attempt to scramble up, but there’s no strength in me. I wish there was, but fuck, maybe this explains why Death was given the job of a Second and not me.
“Shh, bunny… I have you,” Teo croons roughly, and I shudder against it.
I let myself be moved into his arms, scooped from the floor and onto my bed. Only instead of being there alone like I am night after night, he curls around me. Protecting me.
He made me drink his piss, and I should hate him. I do hate him. I have to, there’s no other reasonable response.
But deep inside, I know the truth. Somehow, once again, my tormentor became something else. Something more.
I chuckle, despite there being nothing funny. My chest heaves from the mixture of cries and laughter that catch in my throat. Through it all, Teo stays.
How? How is it possible?
Because fuck. If I did all this…came here to take over, only to end up a plaything for another Martelli… And worse, if I fall for the two abusers…
What does it make me?
What. Does. It. Make. Me?
Again and again, it spins around.
What. Does. It. Make. Me?
Ihold Luca through his panic, his pain is agony, pulling at the pieces of my soul that don’t belong to Dominic. I shudder, the realization one that needs to be mulled over, in the privacy of my room, but I can’t leave, not now. Not while Luca is falling apart at the seams and the only one who can put him together again is, well, me… me and Dominic, but I’ve been down this road before and know better than to think the other man would care.
No one was there to help stitch my wounds together—physically, mentally, or emotionally.
I came through the pain of my training alone. Made myself into who I needed to be in order to survive. And all I got in the end was a need, a fucked-up, toxic connection to the man who used, abused, and then threw me away like I was nothing.
Sure, Dominic comes back because he has to. Like me, he’s beholden to the whims of Sergio, but it’s all smoke and mirrors. Until it’s not. Those rare moments when he lets his guard down and I can see the man beneath the monster, like today, when our eyes connected after I kissed Luca… Fuck, I can practically taste his need for me in those moments. But they don’t last. And they never will.
I don’t want that for Luca. One day soon, he’s going to fuck up. He’s going to lose his guest status and fall into the trap Sergio is setting. And my father expects me to take an active role in his training…
Luca, who is so perfect already. So submissive and eager to please… How could Il Padrone, his Master, send him here? Into the den of depravity where no one ever leaves the same.
Breaking him…it’ll be too easy. And though part of me aches for that, I can’t deny I want to see it. Him fucked over and over and over again. No pleasure to be seen because it’s not about him. Until it is. His prostate milked and balls emptied… his mind thrown into chaos between pain and pleasure and never knowing which way is up or if you want it to stop or never end…
Whatever Luca thinks he knows, the small glimpse he got during our walkthrough at the training facility today… it’s not even close to what Dominic and I plan to do to him once allowed.
My personal Hell will serve me well. Because I am intimately aware of how far the mind and body can be pushed.
I rose from the ashes. The death of who I was became the man currently cradling the broken bunny.
What will become of Luca? And do I care?
…Of course I care. I wouldn’t be here, cuddling him, if I didn’t.
Running my hand down his back, I press my lips to his hair, drinking in his scent. Though he showered before dinner, I swear I can smell Dominic’s cum under the soap.
“It’s okay, bunny,” I tell him over and over as I rub his back. “I’m here. You’re okay.”
He whimpers and tries to bury himself into me, like the bunny we’ve marked him to be.
His fingers shake against me as he tries to undo my buttons.
I carefully pull away, and he cries out.
“Shhh. I’m not going anywhere. What are you doing, Luca?”
