“You are. This isn’t anything serious,” I said immediately, feeling defensive.
Then why go to her house if not to fuck with me?
“I didn’t think it would be a big deal,” I snapped.
So, if I slept with Talia or even tasted her, it would be fine?
“Completely fine,” I growled, getting up, finding my undershirt and cleaning myself off, wondering why I was getting pissed.
I threw the shirt at him, over with this conversation. Just as I was about to leave the room, something hit my back. Glancing behind me, Ezra was leaning on his elbow with his brow raised silently asking why I was getting mad.
“Oh, fuck you,” I snarled. “Fuck whoever you want, I don’t care.”
I didn’t think it would be a big deal. He signed, getting off the bed walking to me. You sleep around while I keep to myself. Is it so wrong that I want her? Why do you feel like it’s ok for you to sleep around while I can’t?
Because you are mine! I bit my tongue from saying it because that wasn't the only reason and if I said it out loud, I was scared what it might mean.
“I’ve never kept you on a leash,” I said, running my hand through my hair glancing at him to see his brow raised again. “Oh, fuck you, you know what I mean. What we do behind these doors is just me and you. I don’t mean collaring you out in public.”
He shook his head. If you wanted to share her, all you had to do was ask.
“Whatever, I’ll be back,” I said, grabbing a pair of jeans, not going back for a shirt because, fuck him.
I slipped boots on by the door, grabbing his leather jacket and his keys. A nice long ride would help and if not, then maybe I needed to take matters into my own hands with Senator Danny. I had enough anger to do something completely stupid. Anything was better than thinking of what Ezra had called me out on.
Talia was a distant memory, the reason I didn’t believe in love, and had showed me that this line of work and having a relationship never worked. Ezra thought I was mad because I was still protective of Talia, but little did he know I would kill her if she fucked him.

DICKMATIZED – THE ACT OF LETTING A MASKED MAN INTO YOUR HOME AND LETTING HIM HAVE HIS WAY WITH YOU.
The club was empty for once. Madame Red only shut down the club three times, to decorate for Valentine’s Day, Halloween and Christmas. They were only half days, but it was a rare occurrence. Today we were decorating for Halloween and I loved it so damn much. I never really did anything to the apartment because it felt witchy enough and the bats I put up always helped tie everything together, plus it wasn’t like I got trick or treaters.
“Those spiderwebs look awful,” Mason said, handing me a spider.
I laughed. “You’re jealous because mine are fucking spectacular.”
“Lies, but I think you came to the wrong town,” he smirked. “Much more fitting for Halloween.”
I scrunched my nose. “Yeah, I don’t think I could make a good living like I do here, and I don’t think I have the stomach for it.”
“Ew, don’t remind me,” he gagged.
“You brought it up,” I laughed, putting the last spider on my web.
We all knew what happened at most of the towns and it was no secret that Boogie and King were ruthless. Their band of assassins did their work very well, leaving no trace of anyone who needed to be taken care of.
“You’re such a wimp,” I said, getting off the ladder, closing it and taking it to the other corner of the bar.
“I am. I blame it on my mother,” he said, following me.
“People always say we have daddy issues, but our mother deserves all the credit,” I said, knowing my mother had left me with plenty of emotional baggage.
“Fuck, I wish I had daddy issues,” Mason chuckled. “All I need is some silver fox to put me in my place and I’d be golden.”
“Amen, brother,” I chuckled with him.
