I pause with the spoon in front of my mouth. “In here.” I tap my mouth with my free hand.
“But you’re tiny.”
“We’ve discussed this. I’m normal-sized. You’re a giant.”
His tongue darts out to lick his ice cream and now I’m jealous of ice cream. Boring chocolate ice cream at that! I’m never jealous. Except I seem to be jealous constantly around Brock.
“You can’t possibly eat the entire sundae.”
I wink. “Want to bet?”
“No more betting. Jace’s college fund grew enough today.”
“You shouldn’t have let him win at Shipwreck Speedway.”
He leans forward. “He’s my son. What’s your excuse for letting him win?”
“Life’s short. Eat the mermaid.” I snag the glittery white chocolate mermaid tail sticking out of the top of my sundae and chomp down on it.
Maybe the chocolate and ice cream will cool me down. And help me to stop fantasizing about Brock and his big hands. About how those hands feel when he lifts me into his car. About how I want to feel those hands touch me when I’m not wearing any clothes.
Brock’s tongue darts out to lick his ice cream.
And maybe not.
Chapter 11
Rule #4: Temptation is a luxury I can't afford.
Brock
“May,” I groan as I come in my hand. I catch my breath as the water washes my cum away. Despite having just climaxed, I feel empty. I don’t want to climax in my hand in the shower. I want to climax while buried deep inside May.
But it’s better this way. I don’t do relationships, and May has relationship written all over her. I won’t disrespect her with a one-night stand. She deserves more. But I’m not the man to give it to her.
I switch the water to cold to cool myself down before exiting the shower and drying off. My phone beeps with a message.
Good morning, chocolate two scoops! It’s windy out there but surfing class is a go. I repeat. Surfing class is a go!
I can’t help the smile from spreading on my face. May is full of sunshine. She beams happiness and light wherever she goes.
P.S. Sent this to you privately instead of adding you to the group. Don’t want those surfing mammas to have your phone number.
My heart squeezes. She could have sold my number to the highest bidder. But she didn’t. She’s protecting my privacy. She isn’t only sunshine. She’s also considerate and sweet.
And not the woman for me, I remind myself.
Thanks. Jace will be there.
With his ever watchful father?
Nope. Weigh-in is this morning.
Good luck!
My fingers itch to respond, but I force myself to set my phone down. I don’t want to lead May on. Nothing can come of our friendship.
I get dressed before knocking on Jace’s door. “Time to go!” I count to ten but he doesn’t respond. “Jace!”
