God, he could eat her up. Everything about her seemed to fit with him and turn him on, and it seemed the more time he spent with her, the deeper he felt.

He knew it hadn’t been that long since they started dating, but it felt like they’d known each other for years.

They jerked apart when someone knocked on the door.

They looked at each other and snickered like teenagers.

“Come on, before one of my brothers finds us.”

Beth took his hand as he pulled her down the hallway. He stopped halfway down the stairs and turned to her. “Would it be okay if I came to watch you compete next weekend?”

Her eyes widened. “You really want to come to that?”

“You couldn’t keep me away. You are absolutely stunning to watch.”

Beth swallowed. “You make me feel that way.”

“It’s because you are.” He leaned in to kiss her and stopped when a few people started to hoot downstairs.

Roman rolled his eyes. “I take it back. They aren’t that great.”

She grinned and followed him down.

“I’m going to introduce you to people. You won’t remember their names. There are too damn many of them.”

He walked her around the room, having her meet part of his family.

“I’m never going to remember everyone.”

“That’s okay. I don’t either,” he said and chuckled.

She laughed.

“Where is everyone going to eat?”

“Ah, you haven’t seen the backyard.”

He led her through the kitchen and out the back door. She froze when she saw the longest table she’d ever seen under an old oak tree that had lights strung on the bottom branches.

“This is amazing.”

“This is the only way we can fit all of us.”

They moved aside when several women came out of the house with bowls and platters.

Beth stopped Roman’s pretty sister, Alicia, as she headed back into the house.

“I’d like to help, Alicia.”

Alicia smiled. “Come on. We can always use a hand.”

Beth followed her into the kitchen and was handed several things to take out. They went back and forth several times until the table was laden with food.

Roman whistled for her as she was talking to his sisters-in-law.

Camila snorted. “I think that means he wants you.”

Beth snickered. “I’ll be around to help with the cleanup.”
