He’s leaning against my doorjamb, his two hands in his gray suit pants, his hair has that messy just-fucked perfection and his big blue eyes hold mine. “Hello, Miss Russo.”
“Hi.” I swoon, how is this man so flipping gorgeous? “What are you doing here?”
“I came to see if you wanted to have an impromptu lunch date.”
I’m out of my chair before he even finishes the sentence. “Yes I do. You drove all the way over here to take me to lunch?”
“Do you have a problem with that?” He walks over to me so that we are standing toe-to-toe, and I know we aren’t allowed to touch each other because nobody knows what’s going on between us…. But damn it, I want to kiss him right here and right now.
Stake my claim to this beautiful man.
“Screw my packed salad,” I whisper up at him.
“Or…I could just screw you.” His eyes drop to my lips, the air between us comes alight with electricity.
“That would work,” I murmur. “Also….”
I should be sated and satisfied; we have hardly gotten out of bed for four days now. But the more I have him, the more I want him.
It’s a need not a want.
This primal urge to have him inside of me is beginning to take me over, and I have no control over the feelings he incites. It’s much more than physical.
I thought I knew all there was to know about sexual connection.
But this…this is otherworldly.
He leans closer and whispers something into my ear, his breath brushes against my skin causing goose bumps to scatter up my spine. “I couldn’t wait until tonight to see you.” His pointer finger gently swipes over my thigh, a subtle movement that nobody else would see. Though the magnitude of his touch is like an earthquake through my libido.
“I’m glad you didn’t.” I lick my lips as I imagine him naked. “I’m here whenever you need me…. To do everything that you need me to do.”
His eyes flicker with darkness and I feel a slow pulse building between my legs.
“Are you taking me to lunch, Mr. Leone?”
“I want you for lunch.”
“And yet security is downstairs to stop that from happening.”
As if remembering, he takes a step back from me and lets out a deep exhale.
“I finish work early today.”
“Do you?” His eyebrow rises.
“I do.”
We smile at each other, both lost to this feeling…. Whatever this feeling is.
“Are we lunching?” I ask.
“For now.”
I grab my purse and to the whispers of every green-with-envy female in the office, we walk through the building toward the elevator.
I have to concentrate on keeping my hands to myself. It feels unnatural not to touch him, I want to take his in mine and come out to the world. Hard launch our relationship in a spectacular fashion.
But I know I can’t…not yet anyway.
