Immediately she sinks her teeth into my fingers as I slowly push my hand into her pussy, violent shudders take over her body and her knuckles grow white as she tightens her grip on the bars, the fullness of her breasts pushing against my chest.

I rock my hand back and forth, making sure to coat every digit in arousal until I’m finally able to sink my entire hand into her pulsating cunt.

“Si... Silas!” She grunts out, teeth clenched tightly around my fingers, her ocean eyes crossing into the middle as I stroke her from the inside.

“Fuck,” I spit, desperation taking over my body as I pull my fingers from her mouth and unzip my own jumpsuit to wrap my hand around my aching cock. “You’re so fucking tight.” I begin to stroke myself, fingers running over all eight barbells until stars bloom behind my eyes.

“I’m... fuck, I’m so full.” She throws her head back and moans, her chest heaving as I start to fuck her slowly with my fist. My own hand around my cock matches the rhythm of my hand that’s inside her, fucking us both until I can feel her pussy tighten around my wrist.

Sweat clings to her skin as she pulls herself closer to the bars, and I can see the eagerness in her face to kiss me. “Kiss me, Silas.”

There’s no hesitation from me because there’s nowhere else, I would rather be, than wrapped up entirely by her. I want every atom that makes up her energy to crash into mine, I want us to explode together until we’re nothing but dust and fragments, completely intertwined with each other.

Slamming my mouth into hers, teeth clash together as we sink into one another, tongues explore like it’s the first time until the both of us blow up into smithereens. Energy crackles to life, a deafening spark imploding between us as I throw us both over the edge, falling headfirst into the abyss that is wholly us.

I don’t know how long we stand there together. It could be minutes, hours or weeks, but I couldn’t give a fuck as long as I have her in my hands.

“What happens now?” She asks, her fingers toying with the zipper. I can feel the nerves radiating from her, the worry that’s heavy in her eyes. I want to tell her that everything will be fine, that I’ll find a way of getting us out of here, but I can’t lie to her again, and the last thing I want is to create this false sense of hope.

Taking her hand in mine, I plant a soft kiss onto the back, my gaze locked on hers. “Honestly, I’m not sure. This place is locked up tighter than a virgin.” She giggles, creating a warmth inside my chest.

“You really do have a way with words,” she teases, then her tone turns serious. “What about the doctor, what does he want with you?”

Images of Thorne crash into my mind at the mention of his name but I quickly shun it away, refusing to linger on what happened between us.

“He’s got some weird, fucked up fixation with me. Ever since I came here after the jury ruled me unfit for trial, he’s been obsessed. I’m like a cancer he can’t cure, a puzzle he constantly fails at. But what I do know is that I’m his prized possession, if anything happens to me, he’ll be ruined.” I murmur the last words, a darkness settling in my voice.

“I don’t like the way you said that last part,” her brows drop slightly as she chews on her bottom lip. “I don’t think I’d survive if anything happened to you.”

Before the tears can fall, I take her face in my hands and wipe underneath her eyes with my thumbs.

“Hey, listen to me. I’m gonna do everything that I can to get us out of this shithole, and nothing is going to happen to me, I promise. Thorne would be stupid to kill me, he wants me for a reason and in order to get that, he’s gonna have to keep me alive.”

She looks up at me; her fingers wrapped tightly into my jumpsuit. “I can’t do this life without you, Silas.”

“And you won’t have to. You’re my endgame, until the end.” I try my best to reassure her, but I’m finding it hard to do the same for myself because I’m not entirely sure how this is going to end.

I don’t know what scares me more, losing myself to this place, or losing the very person that holds my heart.

Dropping my head slightly, I capture her lips. This time it isn’t rough or frantic. It’s slow, timeless even. A promise to her that I’ll do whatever I need to do to get her out of here.

Just as we break apart, the doors to our cells slide open, the clashing metal echoes around the room causing Iris to jump in fear. She grips onto my arms in an attempt to pull herself closer, but with the bars separating us, it’s impossible.

“Silas, what’s happening?” She mutters, her gaze flicking from mine to the open door. I shove the fear down and lock it tightly as guards enter the room, cornering us from both sides.

“Don’t let them take me, please.” Terror radiates through her voice, and I take her face again, forcing her to look at me. Her eyes shine with unshed tears, and that look alone stabs me right in the chest.

“Look at me, Iris, find my eyes.” I say firmly. Instantly she locks onto me like a missile ready to strike. “That’s it, just look at me. Nothing else matters except you and me, alright?”

She nods, her bottom lip trembling. “Just us.”

“That’s my good girl. I don’t know what’s gonna happen, but you gotta stay calm alright? These people want you to fight back, but don’t you dare give them that, not yet anyway. We’ve gotta play by their rules, yeah?”

“But–” In her attempt to get more answers from me, the guard on my side butts in.

“That’s enough lovey dovey shit. Riggs, hands behind your back.” I can hear the handcuffs clanging together as he pulls them off his belt, but I don’t give in just yet, not until I’ve told Iris that I love her. Not until she hears those words from me.

I push my lips onto hers, causing the tears to rain down her face until I can taste them on my tongue. She grips me tighter until the guards rip me away, and before I’ve had the chance to turn on him, he swings the black baton into my face. Blood spurts from my nose, my vision blurring as tears swell in my eyes.
