“Alright, you're doing too much.”

She giggled, laughing her head off. “I’m just saying…” she paused when she felt my hardness against her stomach. Stepping out of my grasp, she shook her head at me. “No way. There are too many people here, and we just had sex two hours ago.”

I smacked my teeth, not trying to hear a word she was saying. Brit loved wearing sundresses, and I loved seeing her in them. Her body was pure perfection. Plus, the way her ass moved like water was addicting to watch. Gripping her hand, I pulled her back.

“So, what? I can lock this door, and we can christen my desk right now,” I said as I started kissing her neck. My hands moved down to her plump bottom, squeezing. I knew that was her weakness.

“C-Christian, wait,” she protested weakly.

Before I could take things further, my office door opened. Amber, the manager of Cara and Sara’s Tech shop, walked through the door. Her eyes bulged when she spotted us.

She shrieked, covering her eyes with her hands. “I am soooo sorry,” she apologized. “I didn’t know anyone was up here. I just came to install the camera in your office.”

Brit stepped out of my embrace once again. “It’s fine. We were just about to head back downstairs,” she told her.

“Are you sure?” Amber questioned nervously.

I chuckled, grabbing Brit’s hand and walking toward the door. “It’s all good, Amber. I promise.”

As we made our way down the hall, Blade and Bianca stepped out of his office as well. He looked upset while Bianca wore an embarrassed expression. Judging by their disheveled clothes, my guess is they were up to the same thing as Brit and me. Blade glared at Brit when she snickered as she passed by them. One of Cara’s interns was in his office, looking horrified.

“What’s funny?” he asked her.

“You and your brother. You both have a one-track mind,” Brit replied.

Blade scoffed. “Shows how much you know. It was actually your sister who—” he shut his mouth quickly when Bianca whipped her head around, giving him an icy stare.

She turned around when he didn’t say more, making her way down the stairs. “Tell my business if you want to. You’ll be on the couch tonight,” she threatened.

Brit and I laughed as he followed behind her, apologizing. When we made it to the main floor, I spotted Cara and Sara on ladders about twenty feet in the air, installing cameras.

Brit gasped beside me. “Why wouldn’t they get one of their male interns to do that?”

“Cara and Sara are very hands-on with their business. I have no doubt all of their interns can do the job, but with family, the girls like to do the jobs themselves.”

Suddenly the doors of the entrance opened, and a man I had never seen stepped through. He held a clipboard in his hand, looking around the club before making his way over. I faced Blade, confused. “Do you know him?” I asked, and he shook his head.

“I do,” Brit spoke up. “His name is Nigel, and he’s Julian’s best friend.”

On instinct, Blade and I moved the girls behind us. If he was here on Julian’s behalf, I needed to stay alert. Nigel held a cocky smirk as he approached us. Reaching into his suit jacket, he produced a badge. “Good afternoon, gentlemen. My name is Nigel Waters, and I’m here to give you an inspection.”

My head jerked back as Blade and I glanced at each other. “Come again?” I asked just to make sure I had heard him correctly.

“I’m a health inspector. And just from the walk-through, I’ve already spotted several violations. If I find a few more, you won’t be able to open until you correct these issues.” He wrote something down on his clipboard.

“That’s bullshit, Nigel, and you know it!” Brit growled. “Did Julian send you here?”

I grinned, loving how protective Brit was of me. I didn’t play about her, and the feeling was mutual. But I didn’t want her to ever stand against a man for me. I looked down at her, shaking my head. “It’s okay, beautiful. I’m going to handle this.”

She gave me a slight nod and returned her glare at Nigel. His lips curled as he continued to write. “The only thing you can handle is these errors, or you’ll find yourself shut down before you can open. Now, which way is your kitchen?”

Blade and I laughed as I pulled my phone out and made a call on speaker.

“Afternoon, Torch. What can I do for you?” the person answered.

I watched with satisfaction as the color drained from Nigel’s face. He was about to learn a valuable lesson today. Before you went trying to insert yourself into your friend’s problems, at least make sure you knew what you were dealing with first. My dad was a longtime buddy of the chief inspector, Patrick, in the Kissimmee area. I personally knew this man since I was eleven years old. Plus, he always handled all inspections for the club's businesses.

“I have a bit of a problem here, and I’m confused. You did our inspection last week and said we passed with flying colors, correct?”
