Jesus Christ.

Its chest is muscular and toned. Not wildly built like some of the guys on the beach this week. Its ears are pointed, but not elvish. Its mouth is hanging open staring at me in shock, sharp fangs peek beneath its dark lips, while the place where the whites should be in its eyes are pitch black, making the blue of its irises shine like beacons in the night.

On the top of its head is thick hair as white as the towel it’s wearing and looking just as soft. What has my attention however is the giant wings on its back. Thin sinewy skin gives a bat-like quality to the stone gray color. They’re at least eight feet long when they are spread out, but currently, one is wrapped toward the front of the creature, who has one hand brushing it. The other clawed hand raises to give me a small wave still holding the same expression on its face.

“I—Who—Where…” My voice sounds broken. I clear my throat. “Theo—gift—vibr—What the fuck are you doing?” I tilt my head with my brows furrowing. I just noticed the creature didn’t stop rubbing the wing and sitting on the bed in front of it is a large bottle of lotion and a similar sized bottle of SPF 100 sunscreen.

“Are—Are you moisturizing?” I ask incredulously.

“Well, yeah, sweetheart. I don’t know about you, but these things,” he flexes the wings, “They can get kinda dry. Thin skin and all. And even though I might not age, I still don’t want wrinkles but I look 22.”

Holy shit, it’s Theo.

Its—His pointed ear twitches. “Yup,” he says, popping the ‘p’ and snapping the lid to the lotion bottle.

“I—,” I take a deep breath and close my eyes, regaining my composure. “Okay. Now, do you want to tell me what the fuck you think you’re doing?”

Theo glances down at the towel, then the bed, and back to me. “I was going through my morning routine—”

“That’s not what I meant and you know it, Theodore,” I snapped, crossing my arms. “I’m talking about the fucking sex toy laying on the bed in my room.”

Theo’s ear twitches again as the corner of his mouth does the same, almost like it’s a reflex to his amusement.

“What? Orgasms are good for headaches and migraines, sweetheart. Just trying to be nice and helpful.”

I scoff, throwing my arms in the air. “Helpful? How is that helpful, Theo? The snacks sure, but that,” I yell pointing in the direction of my room. “That’s unnecessary.”

“You’re right—”

“Thank you—”

“I should’ve just done it myself,” he says nonchalantly with a smirk and then winks that darkened glowing blue eye.

Oh my fucking god.

My pulse races and I just stare at him. I take a deep breath, screaming internally, and turn towards the door.

“Good-bye, Theodore!”

“Are we still gonna get lunch?”

He’s so fucking smug. Dammit. Of course he uses food.

I growl. “Yes,” I grumble and he just laughs.

“See you in a bit, sweetheart!” Theo yells just as the door slams behind me.

Great, Mina. Now he’s not only a fucking character from a romance book, he’s one from your darkest fantasy.

I smack my forehead, and in the background I can hear the deep timbre of Theo’s belly laugh through the door.

Asshole.

Chapter 10

Theo

That went…exceptionally well.
