Chapter 9
Fox
Her breaths rise and fall on the monitor. She has been asleep for hours or at least acting like it. I almost considered going back in to wake her up but it’s not time to push her that far yet.
For someone so small she is surprisingly stubborn. I expected screaming, begging the outside world for help, any attempt to make me stop.
Don’t get me wrong, she fought for her life, but she didn’t fight like I would. I would have broken my own wrist to get out of those cuffs by now but she’s just laying there, accepting her fate.
Is it the guilt eating her alive? Does she feel like this is some sort of necessary punishment for the crimes that she’s committed?
It’s only a matter of time before this innocent act is over with and I’m able to see her true colors.
I thought maybe I’d feel bad for taking it so far but the way my cock jumped watching her writhe on the tile floor still has my body buzzing.
If she wasn’t such a shit human being I would be attracted to her. Even laying there now she looks beautiful.
Her long dark hair fans out behind her head, the night vision from the camera highlights her toned body that calls to me on a primal level.
That’s how she did it.
Conner never would have chased a random woman unless she was impossible to resist. That’s how she was able to lure him away to kill him before he even knew what happened.
Women like that are cancerous. They get under your skin and make you complacent until they can stick a knife in your back.
I was with the same woman for almost ten years, hopelessly devoted and worshipped the ground she walked on. My day started and ended with her, until I found another man in our bed. The bed that I worked overtime just to be able to afford.
I have never wanted to hurt a woman until that day. I never laid a hand on her but I made sure the scumbag helped her pack her things and got her the hell out of my home.
I checked her social media from time to time to see what she was doing. The guy she cheated on me with ended up asking her to marry him. It was a lot easier to move on after that.
The emptiness was temporary. I spent every weekend trying to fill the void with random hookups from the bar until she was a distant memory. It may not be the most conventional healing method but that shit isn’t exactly in a handbook anywhere.
Conner helped me through that experience every step of the way. He came with me to the bars even if he didn’t want to so that we always had a designated driver present. He listened to me drunk cry over a bitch that never deserved my time. He was a real friend and just like that he was gone.
Murdered by another pretty face. It’s always the pretty ones. Something has to hide the overwhelming rot beneath their skin.
I look up at the clock and it’s almost five in the morning. Shift change is soon and I guess I don’t need to leave the little killer locked in the showers all day.
I pause the camera and grab her jumpsuit from the desk. The keys are overly loud as I make my way over to unlock the bathroom door.
It smells like vomit and mildew in here. I round the corner and take in her small frame. She’s curled into a ball, still breathing steadily like she’s in a deep sleep.
Perfect breasts rise and fall in a soft rhythm. I wonder what they would feel like beneath my palms—or between my teeth. Her naked body looks more pale than it did last night but the cold of the room is probably to blame.
I could choke her right now. End it once and for all. I could say that one of the inmates did it during morning showers and no one would bat an eye. I could’ve simply forgotten the shower rule due to my overwhelming grief.
It wouldn’t be the first time that it‘s happened. People kill each other in here all the time. A life sentence is nothing but a pass to let people continue committing crimes since they know they aren’t getting out anyways.
I’m not done with her yet though.
“Get up, killer.”
My boot hits her side with a thump and I throw the jumpsuit over her face. She startles awake and the handcuff pulls her back down.
Awareness settles over her as she remembers where she is, and why. A sharp scowl is pointed in my direction and I try not to laugh at her attempt to come off as menacing.
She rubs her arm as soon as she’s free from the cuff. A red band wraps around her wrist that will definitely bruise throughout the day.
