“So did you date?”

She chuckles and it’s shaky at best. She dated. While I was stuck here in what’s been described as the world’s longest mood swing, she was out dating other guys, fucking around, doing who knows what with who knows who.

Kota knows who and that’s what I intend to find out.

“You don’t want to know my favorite color?”

“I want to know your favorite everything,” I admit.

“Dating is not my favorite.”

Now she has me concerned. I mentally run through all the male cheerleaders that were on tour with her. I saved their profiles, so I can hit up a motherfucker real quick if I need to.

“Why? What happened?”

After a brief pause, she shrugs and says, “I went on a few dates but…”

“But what?”

“But none of them went anywhere. I was…bored.”

“Bored?” That’s the last thing I expected her to say.

“Out of my mind. I couldn’t wait for them to be over.”

So she didn’t fuck any of them.

Zero nonchalance, I ask, “Did you think about me?”

“During the dates?”

“Anytime.”

“Um.” Her head shakes like she’s thinking long and hard about a question that should be very simple to answer. “I don’t think so.”

And I think she’s full of shit. She admitted to hoping it was me eating her pussy last night, I caught her sniffing my hoodie, and she moaned my name while playing with herself. She thought about me.

“How many nights did you sleep in my shirt? All of them?” I didn’t forget she had it.

I spy her smile as she tries to hide her face in the neckline of my hoodie. She thought about me a lot.

Damn. This weekend just keeps getting better.

“Did you take Onyx with you?”

“Of course.”

She really does love that little cat.

“Did it help?”

“With…”

“The picking.”

Her head emerges from the hoodie as she lengthens her entire spine.

“You know you don’t actually know me, right?”
