Her gaze dipped to the front of his pants. “Yeah…fair enough.”

She gathered the four stuffies in one arm and picked up the bucket with her other hand, which she took to the trio of teen girls currently preparing to use the photo booth. They happily accepted the tokens, as well as the three spare stuffies he had won.

“Don’t forget your photos,” one of the girls said, pointing at the dispenser on the outside of the machine.

He approached just as Alice plucked two sets of prints from the angled, upright tray, but when he attempted to look at them over her shoulder, she flattened them against her chest with a gasp.

He reached for the prints, a smirk curling his lips. “Let me see.”

She blocked him by turning away. “It’s a bit dark back here, so let’s—”

“I have excellent night vision,” he said before stealing a print from her.

“Ah!” She spun around, her skirt swinging.

His smirk melted, heat throbbing in his loins. The photo booth had captured quite an arresting set of images, including a glimpse of his tongue in her mouth. He swallowed, pulling one side of his coat across his front.

Almost as arresting was the small printing error running along one side of the photos—a thin red line.

Chapter Twenty-Five

Alice

They strolled hand in hand back to his car. Then he drove her to her mom’s apartment. As he helped carry her many souvenirs up to the apartment’s direct entrance, she didn’t need her True Sight to know that Silas was wound up, his strained breaths and tight stance betraying his desire.

Admittedly, she felt much the same. Her sex was tingling with heat, the crotch of her panties wet with her slick.

“Today was a lot of fun,” she commented as she opened the door, hoping she sounded content and not conflicted…or desperately horny.

Though her mom’s second showing should have ended a while ago, the apartment was unexpectedly quiet. “Huh, I guess Mom’s still out.”

She put down her bag, the kite, and the few light items he had allowed her to carry. “I definitely want to explore more of the boardwalk tomorrow.”

“I’d love nothing more than to accompany you,” he said in response, stepping past her to set down everything else he’d bought her that day.

“I’d like that,” she said with a smile as she removed her scarf.

No sooner had she hung it up than Silas grasped her by her waist and pressed her against the front door, where he took her mouth in an urgent kiss that obliterated all thought—worrisome or otherwise—slanting his mouth against hers over and over.

She didn’t hesitate to kiss him back, clutching at his shoulders, moaning when she felt his tongue. But before she had much of a chance to enjoy it, he tore his lips away and kissed her cheek, her jaw, and the sensitive place behind her ear.

“Do you have any idea what you in this skirt has been doing to me, kitten?” he rasped, groping her ass through said skirt, his breath hot on her neck. “I lost count of how many times my dick got hard.”

She couldn’t answer him beyond gasping his name, too dazed and too shaky, desire flooding her senses.

“I can’t leave without having a taste,” he panted, sinking to his knees. “I just need a taste, kitten.”

He lifted her leg over his shoulder and began pushing up her skirt. Only when she felt the warmth of his breath on her inner thigh did she snap out of her wanton stupor.

“Wait,” she stammered, grasping the hem of her skirt to keep it from going any higher. “No sex, remember?”

His molten gaze found hers from beneath his tensed eyebrows. The sight of him kneeling beneath her, panting with need, his head next to her thigh, was enough to make her core throb.

“Is it sex if I just watch you come?” he asked, his voice rough with want.

She swallowed a whimper. “Y…you want me to touch myself?”

“Slide your hand into your panties,” he drawled, “and rub your clit until you come. I’ll hold you up…and watch.”
