Felix strokes my hair. “I think we’ve found your weakness.”

“I have no weaknesses.”

“Oh, no, you absolutely have one, but it’s adorable, so we’re going to let you keep it. Now, come back to bed.”

“Uh, guys?”

We turn and find Clint backed up against the wall, surrounded by magpies and seagulls. The gulp flock multiplied.

“Cock blocked by every resident of Sunshine Cove. Typical. Fine, I’ll call Fox,” Felix sighs.

Chapter 23

Clint

Spectre is swimming.

I sit on the beach with my chin on my hand, watching the dog get further and further out.

“Hey, Zaire, I’m a bit worried about your dog.”

Zaire glances up and looks at the polar bear. “He’s fine.”

“He’s like five kilometers out.”

“He likes swimming.”

I nod but keep an eye on him anyway. Khione snatches up a rock and turns it over and over before adding it to the pile.

“I thought you were done collecting rocks?”

“I am, but there’s always a chance I might need more.”

She’s got really pretty legs. I don’t know where she got these clothes, but they are killing me in the best way. She’s wearing a pair of shorts that stop just under her ass cheeks and a long-sleeved top that hangs off the shoulder but shows off her collarbone and neck.

I did not think I was the kind of creeper who got excited by bones, but apparently Khione is my kind of flavour, and I am a freak. Got it.

I put my whole Paddle Pop ice cream in my mouth and suck before I pull it out again. When I look up, Jace, Zaire, and Felix are all staring at me.

I smile a bit more smugly. “Anything wrong?”

“That was pornographic,” Felix murmurs, but there’s a smile twitching at his lips. “You do remember the cock blocking and blue balls, right?”

I flash him one of my smiles. “I’m very good at filling my mouth. And let’s do it right here in the sand.”

“Oh, god!” Jace says, but his eyes sparkle, and his cheeks turn red. Fucking adorable.

“You should see me with a sausage-”

Jace clamps a hand over my mouth. “Hi, Yolanda.”

I glance behind me and see her with a red face, unable to meet my eyes.

“Ooh, I could go for some cake. Hey, Key, you want cake?”

She whips her head towards me and waves at Yolanda but continues dancing at the water’s edge.

I can’t take my eyes off her.
