“I don’t like you calling this fucking. I am never going to fuck you, Josie Decker. The only thing we are ever going to do together is make love, got that?” Sam snarled.

He paused to get his shit together. “My God, woman, you get me more wound up than anybody I’ve ever known, including Chance.”

She laughed. “Well, considering what you were just doing to me, I would hope I get you wound up.” She continued to laugh, and it was contagious. Soon they were all laughing. But before long, her laughter sounded like something else, something close to sobs.

“I don’t know what to do. I want us to make love so badly. I’ve read up on all of this, but I get so stressed out and I clamp up. I thought it would be different with you.”

Sam scooched up, until he and Chance had Josie wrapped in their arms. “Shhh,” Chance soothed. “It is going to be different. It just takes a little more time and finesse. Something tells me that previous asshole was an asshole.”

Josie giggle-snorted. “He was kind of an asshole.”

“Let’s start with more kisses,” Sam suggested.

“Only after I blow my nose.”

“Sounds good.” Chance snagged the Kleenex box off the nightstand and handed it to her. Sam waited. When she was done, he kissed her lips, slow and lingering. Then he tilted her face so that Chance could kiss her. For long minutes, they kissed their woman, sharing her, touching her, arousing her.

Chance reached over into the nightstand again and grabbed a condom and handed it to Sam. Sam scooted back down on the bed as Chance moved in for an even longer kiss. Josie’s legs were relaxed and open, and Sam touched her silken folds. Their conversation must have helped, because he slipped in two fingers much easier. He stroked in and out, and she soon rewarded him when her body undulating upwards, trying to capture his caress. He added a third finger with little problem, and grinned when she sighed with pleasure.

Sam smoothed on the condom and touched the head of his cock to her wet entrance. He pressed in just a little, wanting to make sure of his welcome.

“Sam,” she wailed.

He smiled and began to slowly slide inward until he sank into heaven.

“Perfect,” they both said in unison, and Chance chuckled. One of her hands gripped his ass while the other clasped Chance’s hand. As it should be, Sam thought, just before he started a rhythm that would take them into oblivion.

He lifted her leg just a little higher as he pulled out and plunged back in, and Josie gasped as he hit that delectable set of nerves in her channel. From then on, every inward stroke hit that spot, taking her higher and higher. Through hooded eyes, Sam watched his partner tugging at Josie’s nipples, but still carefully keeping her in place. Josie’s face flushed harder as she pulsed tighter and tighter around him. They climbed and climbed, until finally the universe flashed in front of his eyes and she screamed her release once again.

When he looked down, he saw that Josie had passed out.

“Well, that has to be good for your ego,” Chance smirked.

“Do you think she understands we mean to keep her?” Sam asked.

Chapter 16

“I beg your pardon?” Josie looked up at the four men standing in her shop, taking up all the air. It had been the longest week of her working life. Apparently, providing baked goods for the school carnival was extremely important to the inhabitants of Fate Harbor. It was now also clear to Josie that everybody in town either didn’t know how to bake or hated baking, except for her. No wonder the Matushkas had retired.

“We want to buy everything in the display case.”

It was Thursday at one o’clock p.m. The carnival was Friday. Josie had just filled the display case for the third time today. She barely had enough in the back to replace what they wanted to purchase, so their request bordered on the ridiculous. What’s more, they were hardly the typical customers. So far, most of them were harried parents who needed to bring something in for their child’s classroom.

“Don’t forget to tell her about the special order we need,” the biggest one said to one smallest one who’d been doing the talking. The smallest one was at least six-foot, but the biggest one was a Nordic giant. He had to be six-foot-six if he was an inch, and he looked like many of the Norwegian fishermen that she’d met around town.

“What special order?” Josie asked the ‘little’ guy.

“We need a cake that looks like a fire truck,” he said.

Josie thought a moment, knowing she had some pictures she could show him of a fire truck cake she’d done while working in Florida. “When do you need it?”

“Tomorrow, for the carnival.”

Josie’s face must have given away her dismay.

“I’m so sorry, Miss…Josie, isn’t it? We know we were supposed to order this last week, but there were two fires the day we were going to do all the carnival planning. Normally, we go into Snoqualt to get this cake made. The kids really look forward to it, but we wanted to give the business to you. Now we’re in a pickle because we didn’t place the order with anyone, and we don’t want to disappoint the kids. We’ll help you any way we can. We know this has to be one of the busiest times of year for you, and unless there is a fire, we’re normally just hanging out at the firehouse, so you can put us to work.”

“Why do you need to buy so much other stuff?” Josie finally thought to ask.
