“I’m sorry,” I blurted as we drove to the other side of town.

“For what?” he asked.

“For hurting you.”

He sighed. “Love, let’s not do this right now.”

“But—”

His hand gripped my thigh hard. “Not now, love. Let’s go have dinner with my family. Then I can tie you up and punish you for what you did.”

I whimpered.

A few minutes later, he pulled into Nolan’s driveway and smirked at me when he cut the engine. I checked my makeup in the flip-down mirror. My cheeks were red, and my mouth looked raw from kissing. I found a tube of lipstick in my purse and slid it across my lips. I pursed them together a couple of times, making sure I looked presentable.

Declan looked at me like he was the big, bad wolf about to eat me up.

“What?” I asked and put my lipstick away.

“Can’t wait to watch that smear across my dick while I fuck your face later.”

“DECLAN!” I scolded.

He gave me a devilish grin. “What? You know you’ll love it.”

“Dirty, dirty man,” I teased.

He kissed my neck. “You love it, naughty girl.”

“Stop! I can’t go into your brother’s house with wet panties.”

“That sounds like a ‘you’ problem,” he teased, then he got out of the car.

Dick.

I pressed my thighs together and tried to calm down. This man was so dirty and dominating; I couldn’t wait to be at his mercy again later. I didn’t care if this was just going to be a fling. I was going to love every single minute of being with him.

I got out of the car and followed him inside the house. We walked into the kitchen and found Avery and Nolan at the kitchen counter, working on dinner together. At the table was an older man with a shock of white hair holding baby Norah. Next to him were Gemma and the tattooed bartender, but there was also a teenage girl with dark hair.

Avery turned around at the sound of our footsteps in the kitchen. “Look who it is!” Avery said, then she noticed me. “Oh, hi, Lila! Nice to see you too.”

“I hope you don’t mind me imposing,” I said. “Declan invited me last minute. Do you need help with anything?”

Avery waved her hand at me. “Not at all. Sit down. Nolan and I got this.”

Nolan ignored me, which I guessed was better than him glaring at me. I sat in the empty chair next to Gemma while Declan went into the fridge and got us beers. He sat down next to me and handed me a beer.

“Oh, I love this beer,” I said as I drank the pumpkin beer down.

Declan smiled as he sipped on a Drakesville Lager.

“Oh, you met my boyfriend Felix at the brewery,” Gemma said, introducing her boyfriend, and then she pointed to the teenager. “And his sister Skye. This is my dad.”

I waved to them.

Gemma’s dad peered at me for a second. “You’re Kelly and Sean’s daughter, right?”

I nodded.
