Her smile doubled. “Good, because I know I have fallen in love with you.”

He chuckled and kissed her as he nudged her back onto the bed and covered her with his body.

His hands ran up her thighs, nudging the silky dress up higher until he exposed those pretty cream-colored panties she’d put on before leaving. Since the dress was strapless, she’d skipped the matching bar and he was thankful for that when he slipped her breast out to suck on it.

Her hands were buried in his hair as she moaned and wrapped her legs tight around him. She moved her hips, swaying against him until he was so hard that he grew uncomfortable in his jeans.

He slipped them off, and when he slid into her, she moaned his name and then whispered, “I love you,” against his ear. Those simple words triggered a primal instinct to claim what was his, and his body took over completely.

Avery met each of his movements with demands of her own. When they were both sated, they fell asleep in each other’s arms.

The alarm woke him earlier than he’d wished. Avery, who had been wrapped around him, groaned softly, then jolted awake and sat straight up.

“Today’s the day!” she said with excitement.

“It is.” He rolled over to cover his head with the blankets.

Avery pulled them off his head. “Today. Is. The. Day.” She said, smiling. “I’m finally getting a sister.”

He chuckled and tried to pull her back down into bed with him. She was too fast and dodged his hands.

He closed his eyes and rolled back over, tucking himself under the blankets. When he heard the shower running and Avery singing, he smiled and knew that he’d better get up and prepare for the long day ahead.

The wedding was at three, which meant that he had plenty of time to haul everything he and his new crew needed over to his cousins’ place. Still, he’d promised Avery he’d help her take everything she needed over first. If she was up this early, he’d better get moving.

Besides, he was thinking about sneaking into the shower with her and distracting her for a while.

By the time he made it into the bathroom, though, she was already out, a towel wrapped around her body and one around her long hair.

“I wasn’t quick enough.” He pulled her into his arms and kissed her.

“No, you weren’t. But you are just in time to get in that shower.” She yanked down his boxer shorts and left him standing in the middle of the bathroom, laughing. “Hurry up,” she called after him when he stepped into the hot shower.

By the time he was done, she was dressed in a pair of cream-colored yoga pants and a tank top. Her long wet hair was piled on top of her head in one of the caps she wore that would end up making her hair curly after it dried.

Even without any makeup, dressed like that, she still managed to take his breath away.

With a towel wrapped around his hips, he pulled her into a hug and kissed her.

“Today is going to be amazing,” he promised her. “You have me until around eleven. What do you need of me?”

She smiled up at him. “First, get dressed. Second, help me find my phone.” She threw up her hands. “I can’t find it anywhere.”

“It’s probably downstairs still. We came up in sort of a hurry,” he said, moving the pillows aside.

“Can you call it?”

He walked over and hit dial, and heard her phone ring from somewhere in the room.

Avery rushed around and finally found it behind the nightstand. “I’ve missed three calls already.” She sat on the edge of the bed and called Hannah.

He listened to their quick conversation, gathering that Avery needed to stop off somewhere along the way to the venue.

Less than half an hour later, after a very rushed breakfast of toast and orange juice, they headed out.

They picked up the bridesmaid dresses and gifts from Hannah’s parents’ place. He had followed her and helped carefully store them all in the back of her car.

All of the cooking equipment he’d need for the day along with most of the ingredients were packed away in his truck. He’d no doubt make several trips during the next few hours, but it was a start.
