Zott began to clap, first slowly, then fast and enthusiastic as he gushed about what an excellent example of ‘plugging’ Arken had demonstrated. “See how swiftly she stopped resisting? If you were paying attention, you would have seen it in her eyes. The loss of willpower. The desire. I strongly recommend that you all consider using plugs on your pet, especially in the early days of training when you are seeking to subjugate them. The process of breaking a wolf can take weeks, but achieving obedience should hardly take more than an hour for most creatures…”

Susie tuned Zott out and turned to Arken. “Thank you, Headmaster,” she said sweetly, not bothering to address Zott. “May I go now?”

Arken nodded. “Yes. You may.”

Zott did not try to stop her as she strode towards the exit, and no one snickered or wolf whistled as she swung open the door.

“Good luck,” she muttered to no one in particular before starting down the tower steps.

She heard Zott’s voice drift down as he barked an order at someone. “You, boy. You’re next. Come here and kneel.”

“Oh no,” Susie breathed, turning back towards the classroom.

Her view was blocked by Arken as he followed her outside. In the moments before the door shut, she caught a brief glimpse of a student who was already being chained to the wall by Zott.

“Jeff,” Susie said in dismay when Arken shut the door.

She’d met Jeff at the start of Orientation Week—he was a bit of a dreamer and optimist, and too nice for a place like Volmasque.

Zott would crush him.

“A friend of yours?” Arken asked.

Her eyes narrowed. “Just an acquaintance. But that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t care about his wellbeing.”

“True, I cannot contest that.”

But you could do something about it.

Susie was a heartbeat away from speaking her mind, and that was a dangerous thing. Arken probably wouldn’t be as understanding if he saw the side of her that was not so sweet and docile. He’d already caught glimpses of it.

But she couldn’t spend another second pretending, either.

The plug’s insertion had bordered on painful, but now that it was fully inside her ass, its presence was agonising in an entirely different way. It made her feel full, invading her senses and making her all too aware that it was there—and that he’d put it there. And that she wanted to crush him against the wall and grind her pussy against him until she came.

She was going insane. The ache in her core was uncontrollable, her mind equally assaulted by bursts of angst and desire. She was in trouble, especially if she stayed here a minute longer.

She fled down the tower’s spiral staircase without saying a word of goodbye to Arken.

“Susie, wait!” he called, starting after her.

She ignored him, increasing her pace so she’d be out of sight as the walls curved round and round, the stairs carrying her steadily down the tower.

Nervous butterflies danced in her stomach as she descended, moving faster.

Arken would be faster than her. He could catch her, if he wanted, but she sensed him holding back as he pursued her.

She felt his presence less and less as she hurried down the staircase, and by the time she was halfway down the tower, the echo of Arken’s footsteps had faded.

A few seconds later, she ducked into what she thought was an alcove, but turned out to be a small semi-enclosed balcony. The balcony itself was shrouded in darkness, except for the stone railing where the bright sunlight hit it.

Pressing herself against the wall beside the arch, she waited, holding her breath.

Have I lost him?

Her ears strained to hear Arken’s footsteps, but the pounding of blood in her ears was too loud.

I’ll just wait here for five minutes until I’m sure he’s gone.
