Susie shook her head. No, he hadn’t hurt her.

She’d been surprised by his touch. And she’d felt…

Longing.

It sounded within her like a gong, emanating tiny aching ripples of pleasure that rushed from her core and spread through her from her fingers to her toes, causing her spine to tingle. The feeling hit her when he’d inserted his finger, then flashed again briefly when Arken removed it.

No. This is wrong.

Susie forced herself to lie back again and forget what she’d just felt. Whatever that sensation had been, she sincerely hoped she wouldn’t feel it again. It was too much like how it felt when she pleasured herself, not that she was ever in the mood these days. But that feeling belonged to her.

She drew a deep breath. This teacher-student affair was already complicated enough. The last thing she wanted was to feel anything that would inhibit the numbness she was trying desperately to sink into. If she could make herself indifferent to what was happening, she could pretend she wasn’t here at all.

“You’re upset,” Arken said.

“No, I’m fine,” she mumbled.

“Are you quite sure?”

“Yes,” she insisted.

No.

Her heart was beating too fast.

Arken climbed over her, hovering above like a predator surveying its prey. At such close proximity, his citrusy cologne invaded her nostrils, choking her lungs with false promises that everything would be all right.

But it wouldn’t be all right. This was one of the worst things that could happen to her. The headmaster who she’d once respected enough to look to for guidance, the one she’d had enough faith in to dare ask for help, had let her down.

He had let her down last year.

Just like he was letting her down now by bedding her. She’d dared hope that he was decent and that, morally, he would draw the line between being in a position of power and feeding on his students. After all, they were no more than a captive audience. They did not have the ability to say ‘no’, not without repercussions.

Arken’s steady gaze roved over her, growing hungrier by the second.

She’d been right about one thing, at least. He was different. He was exceedingly polite and attentive and had so far been quite nice to her. It made him so very different to any vampire or wolf she’d ever met.

Whether Arken was a ‘nice’ vampire or not was questionable. But even if he did have a kind heart, it wouldn’t be enough to save her from his dark desires now. He would take her for his own pleasure as if she were nothing more than a whore. Just like the others had.

Chapter 6

Penetration

Susie

Susie could feel the warmth of Arken’s chest through his shirt, which was still buttoned up, as he lowered his weight onto her. Everything about his body felt solid, including the rock-hard erection pressing against her thigh.

She dreaded this part, the one where her body would be joined with another’s, her pussy forced to yield to a hard member designed to inflict pain.

However, Arken didn’t enter her straight away. Instead, he leant close to her neck. She braced for the feel of sharp fangs, but he didn’t bite her. Rather, he took her by surprise and pressed a slow, soft kiss beneath her jawline, moving up to the sensitive skin beneath her ear.

And then another, trailing back down her neck.

His breath was warm on her throat, and his fingers were agonisingly gentle as they slipped into her hair—gentler than the others had been, who had tugged and yanked it harder than was necessary.

Arken delivered a firmer kiss, this one hot and passionate that caused her neck to arch and a surprised sigh to escape her lips. He stroked her hair as he nudged her legs further apart, lining his cock up with her entrance.

She shuddered as she felt the broad head firmly prod her wet folds. It still felt wrong. She wasn’t ready.
