“Not yet.”

A cherry appeared on top in a shower of colourful sprinkles.

“Don’t be greedy, pet,” Nathaniel smirked. He canted his head to watch the leaning tower of toppings swaying on her glass.

“This is all essential to the mission,” she said.

“I can see that.”

The crazy concoction was a good distraction, but she wasn’t truly hungry. Not for food, anyway. She had an idea, and spent the next few minutes trying to summon the courage to bring it up in conversation.

Nathaniel patted his face with a napkin. “I can’t help but notice the cheeky smile on your face, pet. What are you thinking of?”

Kira tried to hold his gaze, but she couldn’t do it. His eyes glittered in the flickering candlelight and her heart was beating too fast. She looked down at her plate, took a deep breath and said, “I’m just wondering if everything else feels as real as the food.”

She twisted her fork in her leftover spaghetti, simultaneously hoping and dreading that Nathaniel would understand her deeper meaning.

His lips curled. “Let’s find out, shall we?”

Her heart lurched as he stood, strode around the table, bent close and cupped her face. Kissing her deeply and passionately he made her feel as if they were the only ones on the balcony. In a way, Kira supposed they were, but she was still conscious of the patrons’ stares nearby, even if they weren’t real.

“Let them watch,” Nathaniel murmured into her mouth, exploring her lips, her jawline, her throat. Each brush of his lips, and each lick of his tongue, was like hot fire that left her shivery and breathless.

Kira was disappointed when he drew away.

“Is that all?” she asked.

“It is just the beginning,” he said, holding out a red rose.

She smiled as he tucked the rose into her hair, just behind her ear. It was the same vibrant shade as her dress, and although she suspected it was of the scentless variety, in the dream it was the most enchanting rose she’d ever smelled. Yet, it paled in comparison to the allure of Nathaniel’s masculine scent. As he leant close to nestle the flower into place, she inhaled deeply through her nostrils, capturing the musky undertones and warm aroma of cardamom.

“You’re beautiful when you smile,” Nathaniel praised, causing her own smile to widen.

“I didn’t think you were so romantic.”

“If you think I only came over to kiss you, then you are mistaken,” he lowered himself on one knee.

For a moment, she thought he was going to propose, but then he pushed the skirt of her dress up, spread her legs, and before she could react, kissed her inner thighs. He nibbled her thighs gently, his mouth leaving damp spots each place he marked her. She nearly died from shock and pleasure when his hot tongue swept up along her pussy.

“Oh,” she cried, clutching at the edge of the table as he licked her again. Apparently, he hadn’t given her any panties to wear. “Fuck.”

“You taste exquisite,” he told her, grabbing her hips and pulling her against his mouth, spreading her even wider as his tongue pushed into her, delivering hard strokes along her moist folds and making her even wetter.

Kira moaned, her head lolling back as Nathaniel pleasured her.

He reached up to pull the top of her dress down, causing her breasts to spill out over the low neckline.

“Look at you, pet,” he remarked as he kneaded her breasts. “You’re so fucking hot. So impatient. I tried to court you properly and bring you to a nice restaurant, but all you want to do is fuck.”

He pushed his fingers into her so suddenly that she jumped, her knee banging the table loudly.

She glanced at the other patrons, but they’d disappeared; she was alone with Nathaniel.

“Fuck,” she gasped as he fingered her.

“You’re so greedy, aren’t you pet?”

“Yes sir,” she replied at once, running her hand through his immaculate hair and mussing it up. “Please, more.”
