The third figure was a mousy-haired vampire, who was tall and athletic, and the way he carried himself reminded her a little of Nathaniel. Or maybe it was just the fact that he had his cock buried in Peach’s mouth that made Kira draw that connection.
I probably shouldn’t be watching this…
Kira was about to move away when the muscly vampire who’d been taking Peach from behind suddenly threw himself forward so he was close to the wolf’s neck, gripped her by the hair so he could bend her head back, and bit her neck.
Kira’s eyes widened in shock, and heat pooled in her core. She was transfixed by the vampire, who kept rocking his hips against Peach, and the way the female wolf’s eyes rolled back in seeming pleasure. The room was full of grunts and moans. Kira gulped, a curious part of her wanting to join the trio.
She shifted her weight, and that made the mousy-haired vampire’s head snap up, his gaze locking on hers. He immediately pulled out of Peach’s mouth and approached her, not bothering to cover himself even though he was fully naked. His rigid cock nearly touching her as he advanced, shepherding her out of the room wordlessly.
“Er, hi,” Kira began, distracted by Peach and the other vampire, who were continued to feed and fuck undeterred by her presence. “I thought…I could maybe join?”
The vampire blinked at her.
“I left my door open,” she added lamely. “I’m Kira, by the way. A first year—”
“I know who you are,” the vampire said. “You are Nathaniel’s.”
“No, I’m not,” she said, rolling her shoulders back. “I don’t belong to anyone.”
The vampire shook his head. “You belong to the prince. You are untouchable.” His gaze travelled up and down wistfully, taking in her body, which was clad in nothing more than her satin singlet and night shorts. The craving in his eyes was undeniable.
Suddenly, he tensed, and as if shaking himself out of a stupor, he retreated into the room and slammed the door in her face.
Great.
Kira dragged her feet back to her room and sat on her bed to await the dawn. Shadowy figures moved through the corridors, and she could hear the occasional creak of a door, and the muffled sound of laughter and moans.
The vampire had said she was untouchable. What the hell did that mean?
She kept her door open all night—but no one came to visit her. Not even Nathaniel.
Chapter 27
Drinks with Vampires
Kira
By Friday evening, Kira was fed up with the entire academy giving her the cold shoulder. Which was why she decided at the last minute to take Victoria up on her offer and join her in the dorm that night for drinks. It would be interesting to see the vampires’ dorm and see what she could glean about the enemy—and to finally put to rest the rumours she’d heard about a supposed indoor swimming pool deep beneath the school.
Figuring out what to wear to Victoria’s party was a little more challenging. Even though she’d purchased several sets of clothes with Susie in town, she’d hardly worn any of them. She’d spent most of her time in her uniform, including her evenings where she went jogging outside on the school oval in her gym clothes. A secret part of her always hoped to see Nathaniel on the grounds. But she never did.
Kira eyed her satin pyjama set longingly. It was tempting just to stay in, but she wasn’t ready to admit defeat. Since she couldn’t change how the other students perceived her, she would have to adapt. Tonight would hopefully be an opportunity to learn more about the vampires. She didn’t let her mind dwell on the possibility that she might see Nathaniel as well.
She considered the pile of clothes before her, and eventually chose a pair of slim, navy trousers that hugged her hips, a sparkly, white top made of a soft, silky fabric that she was now glad Susie had made her buy. It had a fitted bodice that put her small breasts to their best advantage, loose elegant sleeves that gathered at the cuffs, and a tight cinched waist, from which sheer curtain that was almost see-through draped down, flaring out to emphasise her hips and the curve of her ass.
She pulled her hair up in a loose ponytail that tumbled down her back, and finished the look with a pair of simple gold earrings.
It was playful, elegant, and—
“You can’t wear those,” Susie said when she caught sight of Kira’s running shoes.
“It’s either these or my school shoes,” Kira shrugged.
But Susie was adamant, so they went to her room, where she pulled out half her wardrobe in search of an alternative.
“Here they are,” she said brightly. “They were a size too big for me, but I fell in love when I saw them.”
Kira was in love too. The ankle boots were made of a soft, crimson velvet that felt luxurious and had a short thick heel that was sturdy. They were so comfortable that Kira did something she’d never done before—she pranced around the room.
