A weight settles over the car, and I tear my gaze away from her. Is that really all this is? I’ll make her cum and then we’ll go back to pretending this strange experience didn’t happen?
Her fingers ghost across the back of my hand, and I turn my eyes to her once more. "You could start that apology by not damaging your pretty face so much. What is that going to do to my vibrator?"
For the second time tonight, I burst out laughing. "Worried I won't be able to satisfy you again, wallflower?"
She hesitates, her grip tightening in my hand. "If you let me be in control, you can earn that apology buried inside my pussy."
10 This is What it Feels Like
Lachlan
Letting Iris be in control would be funny if it wasn’t so damn hot. She drives us back to her place, her shoulders stiff and firm the entire way, and nearly jogs up to her apartment on the second floor before disappearing into her bathroom and telling me to wait.
Grabbing a bag of my own shit was a good idea at the hockey house, even if I’m still completely out of place in Iris’s apartment. She leaves me waiting in the bedroom, and I almost walk back out to her living room. I don’t know if she thought about that before locking the bathroom door, but every time I’ve shifted she’s all but kicked me out of her room. We’ve spent plenty of time on her couch.
Eyeing her alarm clock as I circle the bed, I make a mental note of the time. Food is probably the next step, but I’m too amped up after practice and a little bit of flirting from Iris to even think about it. Once I don’t have this ridiculous deadline to contend with, I can eat whenever and however much I want.
Hell, I should probably look into what happened to my friends at that rate.
While she's off grabbing whatever she needs and collecting herself, I roll her words around in my head.
She’s told me blatantly that she doesn’t want to be touched, and that she wants to be in control. I can’t help imagining it’s Dylan’s fault, but for all I know it could be someone else’s. I know guys can be dicks, but seriously, what the fuck is wrong with people? This is why people can't trust anyone anymore. I'm literally cursed, basically at her mercy until she can accept an apology. Yet she's still worried I might hurt her.
Groaning, I peer out her window and do a double take, sitting forward on the desk chair. She keeps the blinds wide open during the day, and when I gaze out her window, I spot the one person I don’t want to see right now.
Dylan pauses before crossing the parking lot, glaring up at the window. He’s under a streetlight, so he either doesn’t care about being sneaky or didn’t expect to be seen. He’s wearing a lot of dark clothing, matching his dark hair. Everything about him, even his mood, seems pretty dark tonight.
It’s hard to see his eyes, but I can tell he’s looking up into the window. Right at me. Smirking, I lift a hand and wave.
He spins on his heel and walks off. I track him until I lose sight in the dark, trying and failing to recall what Dylan drives. It never mattered to me before. But he’s not trying to hide shit blatantly walking across the parking lot at this hour, so what’s his plan?
Worry about it later. You can’t do shit right now without upsetting Iris, and you both need the curse to break.
The bathroom door opens again, and I mentally remind myself that I personally locked her apartment door when we walked in. Unless Dylan fancies himself a locksmith, there’s no way he’s going to quietly sneak in here.
All thoughts about the football player disappear when I study Iris. Her tight tank top and skimpy thong are a far cry from what I’m accustomed to seeing her in around campus, but damn, I can admit it's a pleasant surprise.
She offers me a grin, but it lacks confidence when she wanders closer. I push away from the desk and flop down on the bed, eyeing her. I expected her to appear with a bundle of toys with how she walked off, wanting to prepare, but she only seems to have a condom in her hands.
I reach for her, because it feels natural and right, and she smacks my hand away and pouts. “One rule, Lachlan. Just one. Don’t make me think that being a vibrator is turning your brain to mush.”
It might be. Still, I swallow and nod, holding her gaze as I drop my chin a little. “No touching.”
She gives me a satisfied look and drops her gaze to my thighs. I haven’t stripped down like she did, and the confidence wanes again as she rocks on her heels.
Before we even get started, I break rule one.
Reaching out, I gently grip her chin. She goes stiff, eyeing me cautiously, and I hold her gaze for a moment. She could easily step back and away from me, but she isn’t. Skimming my thumb along her skin, I hold her gaze for a moment.
“Don’t analyze everything so much, wallflower,” I tell her, watching the way her eyes droop. “Sometimes it’s okay to just feel.”
She sighs into my mouth when I kiss her, her soft lips letting me guide us. I don’t care if she wants to be in charge and use me like a toy; if she can’t relax, neither of us will enjoy the next part very much. She only lets me guide the kiss for a moment before she pulls back, screws up her face, and crosses her arms. “Strip.”
Smirking, I stand up and remove my shirt in one motion.
Iris licks her lips when I grab the waistband of the sweats, and she surprises me when she helps tug them down my legs. I barely get the chance to kick everything off before she’s on me again, pressing her palms to my chest as she gives me a push so I’m sitting on the edge of the bed naked.
I’ve parted my thighs to make a nice space for her, and like she has several times before, she lets her eyes roam over me like I’m on display for her pleasure. She sucks that plump bottom lip between her teeth as she does so, and the subtle way she rubs those creamy thighs together tells me getting her horny is probably the easy part.
