I must look a real state.
“Hey, don’t break all my equipment, yeah?” Cyrus tells me, giving me a fist bump.
I nod in agreement, unable to speak through my heavy breathing. The Samoan simply laughs.
“Do you need some water, bro?”
He passes me my water bottle that’s on the ground between us. I’m thankful for the refreshment. I gulp down the bottle’s entire cool contents in seconds.
“Better. Thanks.”
“Can we talk?” Cyrus asks me then. His face drops from his laughter to something a lot more serious.
“Sure.”
His eyes spin around the room. “Not here, though.”
Fuck.
Something is wrong, I can feel it.
“Where?”
“My office. Now.”
The way he says it instantly puts me at unease.
Yeah, something is most definitely wrong.
This doesn’t look – or sound – good.
My mind scrambles.
Has my deepest fear become realized? Is my cover blown?

CASPIAN
I follow Cyrus to his little office in the gym. On the way, I freak the fuck out. I have no clue what he wants to talk to me about.
It could be about anything. He could’ve figured out who I actually am…
Cyrus doesn’t sit when we enter his office. He stands, facing me. It doesn’t feel natural.
“What is it you want to talk to me about?” I ask him.
Cyrus’ lips turn into a nervous frown.
“It’s something private,” he says. “Delicate.”
Oh, fuck.
“What is it, Cyrus?”
He lets out a long sigh before he speaks again.
“I need your help in… asking out Juniper.”
