“Yep, quite well indeed. Our new album has been number one for months. We’re smashing the records.”
“Good for you. It’s what you always wanted. Are Ravaged still intending to perform at Madison Square Garden one day as you’ve always said?”
Drake nods.
“That’s been our dream.”
“Good luck.”
“Thanks.”
I’ve not forgotten about Bishop all this time. I’ve really been twisting in the knife, ignoring him completely.
“And how about you, Bishop?” I ask the man dryly, finally turning to him. “Were you just waiting for me to step out of my brother’s place to ambush me?”
“Yes.”
He’s unfazed by my directness. It’s annoying, but kind of hot.
Drake begins to wind up his tinted window. “I’ll give you two a bit of privacy,” he says.
I stare at Bishop. “What would you do if I decided to just walk back into Axel’s house right now?” I ask him.
“I’d do nothing.”
“You seem keen to talk to me. Would you follow me inside?”
“You want me to be all manly, rip open my shirt, and break down the door to carry you back to my cave to tie you up until you want to be mine?”
“No…”
“You’re blushing, Chloe. Did I get you there?”
“I’m pissed off and just want my cab to arrive.” I take out my phone to check the app. Seven minutes away.
Seven more minutes with Bishop.
“Let’s cut the bullshit,” the rockstar says with a growl. “I want to sleep with you, Chloe.”
“Wow,” I reply, shocked. “There’s that famous dirty mouth of yours. Has being a famous musician made you forget all levels of general politeness?”
“Hey, what can I say? I find you very attractive, Chloe. I like to get what I want.”
“Gross.”
“I say what I want, and I usually get it.”
“And I’m guessing you want me?”
“Exactly.”
“Maybe this might be one of the times you, unfortunately, don’t get what you want.”
“I want you to want me, Chloe. It’s going to happen.”
“Just saying that doesn’t erase the past, or what went down between us.”
“It has been a long time,” Bishop says. “Aren’t you over your hatred of me?”
