“Stop being so sentimental, Axel. It doesn’t fit you,” I say. He laughs.

“So you’ll have me?”

“Maybe.”

“Maybe? I just got down on my fucking knees for you.”

“I’ll have you… as long as it isn’t fake.”

“You think this is fake, Maddie?” he asks before he kisses me.

“No,” I say as I peel away from his beautiful lips. “That didn’t seem fake. Not at all.”

“You’re mine, Maddie.”

I nod.

“I’m yours, Axel.”

“Nothing’s fake between us,” he says. “I want to take you by the hand and declare to the world that you have my heart.”

“Maybe write a song for me first.”

“Oh, I’m planning to.”

He kisses me again.

“I just have one question,” I say.

“What?”

“How did you get here so fast?” I ask.

“You have a problem with my speed?”

“No, it’s just kind of mysterious; how did you get here before me?”

“I’m fast on a motorbike, remember? I wasn’t joking when I said I am practically a professional racing driver.”

That makes me laugh.

“You want to see my new place?” I ask him.

The rockstar I love smiles that irresistible smile of his.

Okay, truth be told I don’t really show Axel my new place.

We barely even get through the door before we’re kissing like the world is about to end. His tongue is in my mouth before I even get the chance to flick on the lights so that we’re in darkness by the doorway to my new condo with Axel’s arms around my body pushing me towards the wall.
