Offense Description: Officers responded to a report of a deceased female in Blackstone House. Upon arrival, they located an adult victim with chest wounds. Fairfax County Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Victim: Ruby Rose Costello, 20, of Blackstone Bluff, VA

Narrative: Officers conducted an initial investigation and determined that the victim had not been seen alive since Saturday afternoon by any of the witnesses present. Other residents of the property noticed an unpleasant smell on morning of Tuesday October 16. Dawson Masters used a ladder to look in through victim’s bedroom window and saw her unmoving on bed. Residents went back inside and broke down victim’s bedroom door, finding her deceased. Officers observed bedroom windows secured from the inside.
