“I haven’t.”

“Really?” she asks, her eyes wide.

“I’ve lived mostly by myself since I was eighteen. I traveled a lot, spent time in different places logging. Most of my work is done online now, and before you, none of my online dynamics have been intimate.”

“You’re serious?”

“I don’t lie, Lindsey.”

“I—sorry, I just thought…I don’t know what I thought.”

“That I have submissives here every night?”

“You were pretty friendly with Cheryl. I swear she was ready to throw her bra at you when we were at the diner. Thought you might know her better than you know most people in this town.”

I cock my head at her jealous tone. “Careful, baby. You’re on my clock now, and everything that comes out of that mouth of yours has consequences.”

Her cheeks blush a darker pink at my warning, and I slide my hand across the table so that my fingers brush over the knuckles of her hand around the stem of her wine glass.

“There’s nothing going on between me and Cheryl, and there never has been. Moreover, the boundaries I have in place with my clients have remained intact, always. You’re the only person I’ve changed them for. Ever. You’re the only one who’s been in my cabin.” I take her hand into mine and gently hold it, her eyes once again widening in shock.

“You’re serious?”

“Not even Fox and Morgan have been here.” I lay her palm open on the table and begin to trace the lines of it. “And I told you, I don’t cross lines with my clients.”

“Except for me.”

I want to say it’s clear she’s more than a client, but I don’t. Truthfully, I don’t think she’s ever been one. We’ve always been more.

“Except for you,” I reiterate. “But if you’re worried about my experience level, don’t be. I have had partners in the past, but none of them have been my clients. And none of them have been to my cabin, either, nor will they be invited in the future.”

She bites the inside of her cheek, and I didn’t think it was possible, but her skin looks even pinker now. “That’s good to know, Sir. And I wasn’t worried.”

Satisfied with her answer, I eye her nearly finished plate. Mine looks about the same. It was a light meal, something I did on purpose because of what we’re about to do. Nobody wants to do a scene on a full stomach. I’ll provide snacks for her later if she wants them.

“Are you finished?” I ask, pulling my hand from hers and sitting back in my chair. I put a hand in my pocket where I placed the controller to what lies in her underwear. I picked this toy not only for what it does and how discreet it is but also because it has both an app on my phone and a remote I can use in person.

Without looking at her plate, she nods. “I am, Sir.”

I click the remote on, the toy in her panties buzzing at the lowest setting. Watching her face transform from shock to pleasure, her hands gripping the edge of the table, is a picture I think I’d like to try to paint. Maybe I’ll start an entire Lindsey collection.

“Look at me,” I command.

Her eyes open, pupils dilated so her irises are near black in color. Her hands still hold the table, and I up the vibration. A gasp, followed by a moan, spills from her lips, and I decide this experience is way better in person.

“You’ve been very naughty as of late, Lindsey.” She bites her lip, eyes starting to hood as she squirms in her chair. “Not only have you talked back to me, but you’ve disobeyed me, too, haven’t you?”

She nods.

“Words,” I remind her.

“Yes, Sir.”

“It’s one thing to be playful; it’s another thing to purposely ignore me. To shirk your responsibilities. To go against your word. You’ve done it more than once, and I think it’s time you learned a little discipline, don’t you?”

She whines as I increase the vibration again. “Yes, Sir.”

Her breathy tone goes straight to my dick, and I’m done waiting for this evening to truly begin. “Repeat your safe word.”
