Then we heard it.

Footsteps on the stairwell. Close, and getting closer. Voices murmured and someone laughed at something. It was definitely more than one person.

Houston and I broke apart. His eyes met mine, and we shared an unspoken understanding.

The door to the stairwell was five feet from the elevator. Maybe less.

I jabbed the elevator button. Nothing happened. I jabbed it again.

"Come on," Houston said under his breath, his hand over mine on the panel.

The handle moved on the stairwell door, and the elevator slid open.

We were inside before anyone saw us, with Houston hitting the button for the lower floor before the doors had fully closed. I pressed myself against the back wall as he stepped in front of me.

Through the narrowing gap of the doors, I glimpsed two figures stepping into the corridor from the stairwell, turning toward the spot where we’d been standing.

The doors closed and the elevator began to descend. Time slowed as Houston and I breathed deeply trying to catch our breaths. I made the mistake of meeting his gaze. We stared at one another, both of us too afraid to speak as the elevator ticked slowly to the lobby floor. Soon all my plans felt like vapor, lost to the air as my thoughts raced faster than I could fully account. I took a slow shaky breath before approaching, reaching behind Houston to hit the emergency stop button.

"What are you doing?" he asked in alarm. The elevator hummed as the car stood still.

"This," I said, reaching up to press my lips to his. I climbed him like a tree, wrapping my legs around his hips. "Yes, I’ll marry you," I said breathlessly. The words hit my chest feeling final, like nothing else in my life ever had. This felt right, like I was finally on the path that I’d been destined for. "I’ll stay here with you."

He pulled back in shock. "Really?" He breathed in disbelief. "You mean it? You’ll stay?"

"Yes," I said, kissing him desperately. "Yes." I reached for the button on his pants. I smiled in satisfaction as I felt how hard he was for me under my hand. I bit my lip as I met his gaze once more.

His eyes were hooded and sultry, and I knew he wanted me too.

"Now?" he asked, running his fingers delicately across my cheek.

"Yes."

He wasted no time lifting me onto the elevator handle, hiking up my dress. Loose beads and feathers scattered.

He reached down to retrieve them, but I brought him back up, pulling him out of his trousers. "Leave it. I need you inside of me now," I said in desperation.

He nodded, rubbing his cock across my folds, then surprising me by inserting his fingers instead until I gasped.

"We don’t have time for that," I said, biting his lip in frustration.

His eyes met mine, wide with passion. "I will always have time for this," he said, before covering my mouth with his. The handle groaned from my weight. "Houston, maybe we should--" Whatever I was going to say was lost as he bent down further, sucking and flicking his tongue until I thought I would shatter. I ran my fingers though his hair, positioning him in just the right spot until my body tingled. "Houston!" I cried as I was about to implode. My breath escaped in a shuddering gasp.

"Oh no," he said, lifting himself from the ground. "Wait for me," he guided the crown of his cock against my opening.

"Houston," I called out. The word turned into a guttural moan as he pushed inside me in one barely restrained thrust. The carnal need ebbed, but only slightly until he began to move slow and deep. The handle beneath me continued to creak under my weight even more with each movement, but I didn‘t care anymore.

"Yes," he hissed, his hand tightening around my ass. He guided me so my shoulders were bowed against the side of the elevator and my hips were positioned towards him, every nerve in my body now on fire.

"Say my name again," he said against my lips, as he picked up speed.

My finger nails clawed at his back as I met him thrust for thrust, until finally his name left my lips. "Houston!"

He growled, his expression changed as he moved even deeper than I thought possible. I was so incoherent that I barely noticed the handle giving way behind us. Houston’s hands moved from my ass wrapping around the back of my shoulders, not losing speed at all as he moved to the center of the elevator and sat on the elevator floor. His gaze remained locked with mine as my hands clawed at him, my hips meeting every thrust. I could hear his groans; his breath ragged as he fought to maintain control. My head fell forward, my hair falling around us, like a curtain.

"Gema!" he called. "Tell me again that you are mine." His voice was more demanding than I had ever heard before, and it was all I could do to stay coherent.

"I‘m yours."
