“Bite, alpha!” My omega’s cry is muffled, but I’m already fitting my teeth to her pearly neck. I suck the spot I’ve chosen into my mouth, right at the curve where her neck meets her shoulder, then I clamp down.
My omega screams and pulses around my knot again. I growl into her neck, biting harder, and her sweet blood floods my mouth. She strangles my knot and I come again, pumping my cum into her, rocking my hips to get it as deep as I can while she writhes beneath me.
“Fuck!” a voice yells behind me, and a hand lands on my shoulder, gripping tight.
I release my mate only to turn and roar in the face of the one who dares. Spit and blood fly from my mouth. My fist swings, but before I can make contact, another alpha yanks the beta away, throwing him behind them and then backing up with hands raised. Their lips are moving, but I hear nothing.
My chest is heaving, black creeping from the edges of my vision.
I snarl at the intruders until they shrink against the wall, then turn back to my omega. I curl around her, breathing heavy. Scoop her into my arms.
Lay down. Careful, so careful.
I turn so I can see the others. Sitting on the floor. Vague shapes.
Protect.
My omega.
I lick the mark I’ve left on her skin. My claim.
She shudders, then moans when the movement causes my cock to twitch inside her.
“Alpha,” she murmurs. “Mine.”
“Mine,” I reply, then lick her neck again.
My vision starts to dim, and I shake my head.
Must stay awake. Protect.
My omega’s breaths are deep and even now. Steady.
Asleep.
I gaze down at her, and my eyelids droop. So heavy.
Perfect omega.
Mine.
Chapter Thirty-Four
Aury
My heart is racing and I can’t catch my breath. Hayden’s hand is clenched just a little too tight on my thigh; the only indication they’re having a hard time standing back, too.
Jayce was a feral beast, pounding into Siobhan with savage thrusts that I worry will leave bruises. I’ve never seen an alpha in rut before, and I’ve never felt so powerless. I slump to the floor now with my back against the wall, waiting until he hopefully passes out.
“Mine,” they both murmur, rocking together and shuddering.
I try to distract myself by taking in her nest. Her blankets are a deep, rich purple while the sheets are a softer dark green. There are floating wooden shelves on the walls holding vintage glass candles and a plethora of crystals. Gauzy curtains hang over the windows with twinkle lights threaded through them, and more vintage glass sconces with brass fixtures line the walls. The ceiling itself is the deepest blue, while three of the walls are a dark green, a few shades deeper than the sheets she’s currently splayed across. One feature wall has wallpaper with moths and ferns, foxes and mushrooms decorating it, and vining plants hang from the ceiling and next to the windows, giving the whole room a foresty vibe.
It’s the embodiment of her, and the only thing I don’t spot in here is a tarot or oracle deck.
Soon enough, Siobhan falls asleep, and not long after that, Jayce’s heavy breaths even out as he follows her into slumber.
“What now?” I whisper to Hayden.
