“They are,” I agree, turning my head to face Hayden over my shoulder, our lips now only inches apart.

“Watch them,” Hayden says. “Watch our omega take care of our alpha.” Their words are so quiet, meant only for me, and they whisper across my ear. Their lips follow, brushing my neck, then dipping to the curve of my shoulder.

My chest feels too tight, made worse by Hayden’s alpha scent swirling around me as their tongue laps out to taste my neck. I suck in a sharp breath, and when I look back at Jayce and Siobhan, his hands are clamped so tightly on her thighs that each finger leaves a divot. He looks so tense, every muscle straining like he’s about to detonate.

He looks how I feel.

“They’re fire together,” Hayden whispers. “Aren’t they?”

I nod, struggling to find my voice. “You’re hot, too,” I finally say.

I can hear Hayden’s smile when they respond. “Thank you, Aury,” they murmur.

I’m trying to control my breathing, but my chest is rising and falling too fast. My breaths too shallow in a way they never have been before. “Hayden,” I gasp when their teeth graze my earlobe.

“Yes, bello?”

Bello. The way that sounds on their lips, directed at me… “Can I kiss you now?”

Hayden hums. “You’re a good boy, aren’t you?”

My mouth is too dry to answer, and my eyes are still locked on Jayce and Siobhan. He has her pressed against the mirror now. Some distant part of me recognizes that we shouldn’t be doing this here, where I work, but it barely blips across the back of my mind before the thought is gone again. Replaced by the desire skittering across my skin at Hayden’s words. I didn’t know I had a praise kink, but I suspect anything Hayden says or does will make me feel this way.

That’s just how they are.

“Maybe for you,” I reply, fighting for breath with each word.

“Show me,” Hayden says. Their hands lightly grasp my hips and they spin me towards them. I wrench my gaze from Siobhan and Jayce, only for my eyes to land on the banked coals that are Hayden’s. They’re entirely focused on me, and that focus, the entire weight of an alpha’s attention, is a heady sensation. “Kiss me, Aury.”

A quiet demand I’m eager to obey.

My lips part slightly as I lean forward, my eyes flickering between Hayden’s heated, confident gaze and their full mouth. When our lips brush, it tingles across my skin. Dances through my nerves. Lights a fire in my belly and ricochets desire and pleasure up and down my spine.

Hayden smiles against me, a barely-there quirk of their lips. It’s all I can do not to pass out, how on earth are they so calm and smiling right now?

That fire inside me roars, and I clamp my hands on them. One on the back of their neck, the other fisting the shirt at their lower back, and I drag them into me. Or maybe I drag myself closer to them, but either way, it accomplishes what I want. Our bodies are pressed together, my more slender form against their honed, muscular chest.

Hayden groans and it sucks every molecule of air from my lungs. My head spins at the thought that I pulled that sound from them. That I’m the one driving them crazy right now.

“Are you hard for me, Aury?” Hayden whispers into my mouth.

I want to whimper, but I manage to hold it in. I pull back long enough to suck in a breath of air and nod, then I’m diving back into them. Our tongues slick against each other as we explore each other’s mouths, trading nips and licks until Hayden nudges my nose to the side and kisses a path along my jaw, back to my throat where they were before.

“Mhm,” they say, an encouraging murmur.

Even though I’m a beta, I can scent Siobhan’s earthy chai perfume from across the room. It’s more sweet than it usually is with warm, cozy undertones of clove, mixing with Jayce’s bonfire smoke. The distance doesn’t matter, we’re all so worked up that all four of our scents are mingling, swirling through the air and taking all of us out of our minds.

Lust is a drum pounding through me with every beat of my heart.

“Hayden,” I gasp when their teeth scrape along my neck.

“Sí,” they whisper. Their lips move against the soft skin of my neck as they speak. “My very good boy.”

“Uh—” Someone knocks loudly on the doorframe and clears their throat. “Sorry to interrupt, but I need to clean?”

Jayce immediately starts growling, and I leap out of Hayden’s arms like I’m a teenager getting caught by my parents.

Shit.
